We hosted our first tournament last Saturday in memory of our brother Michael.

Michael was a pillar in the creation of our club, and someone who made sure that everyone felt included.

This tournament was focused on youth.
Michael was a terrific role model. Attending this event it was apparent that his legacy of inclusion and kindness lives on in the youth of our club that he positively impacted.

We are so proud of this community we have built.

Good Morning Sword Folks! There is limited Parking at the Venue today, so we ask that you drop your gear off and park a block away. Behind the kentville rec center/Town hall. It is off Main St and Church Ave, see the attached parking map (Our venue is the red X).

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Kings Historical Fencing Annual General Meeting will be held Thursday, May 7th. If you are interested in voting at the upcoming AGM or would like to run for a seat on the board, there is a mandatory meeting before the start of intermediate class on Friday, April 18th at 7pm (Saint James' Anglican Church Hall 18 Prospect Ave, Kentville, NS B4N 2K7). This short meeting will provide a rundown of AGM and election procedures. An online discord link will be provided for anyone who would like to attend virtually. Please contact Tyler with any questions.

MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT
Saturday, April 18th is the last day to register for the Michael Desfossés Memorial Cup happening Saturday, April 25th! We strongly encourage all club members to register and come out for a day of fencing to remember our friend Michael and raise money for his daughter. Just a reminder that we do not have class in kenville tonight, we are off for march break until March 23rd.

Few updates,

We have opened the registration for the Michael Desfossés Memorial Tournament. I encourage all club members to register for this event! Please see the event details on our website ( https://kingshistoricalfencing.ca/events/ ). This is a youth focused tournament, with Adult Wheel of Foam and open sparring. This is intended to be a fun and playful event to remember our friend Michael, we are inviting other clubs from the region to come out and fence. All money raised is going to a fund for Michael's daughter Aurora.

We also have tournament t-shirts available to order now (Design attached)!

Tees are $35 each and available in black, sizes Small to 3XL.

Email your order to [email protected] . Payment can be e-transferred to the same email address. Please be sure to specify quantity and size with your order, and your name with payment.

These t-shirts will be added to on-going order, we are extending the t-shirt order deadline to March 23rd.
