My Friday “Stretch and Strength” crew. I can’t believe this is my job! This group is so inspiring and I see the progress they are making every week.

My journey into fitness began in my 30s.
Back then, I was a busy mother working a desk job day after day. I hadn’t exercised much before, and I often struggled to make time for it. I had always wanted to take this long journey into better health, but the thought of starting was daunting, and I didn’t know where to begin. But one day I just did. I started. And that one day turned into two, which turned into three, and so on. I found a way to set aside a bit of time for myself each day, and this "Me Time" soon became the highlight of my day. I became eager to learn and grow, to try out new exercises, and to take on new challenges. But despite my enthusiasm, change did not come quickly. I had to accept that it would be slow-going at first. I had to accept that I could only control so much. I had to accept that with patience and consistency, change would come. And it did. I finally found my strength.
Before long, my passion extended into helping other people find theirs.
In 2025, I became a Canfitpro certified personal trainer, specializing in active aging, and nutrition and weight loss. Soon after, I started my own business, Seek Fitness, which aims to help women
40+ and seniors discover for themselves what it feels like to be strong, capable, and confident in their everyday lives.
Starting this business is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love watching my clients take on new challenges and do things they were convinced they couldn’t. I love celebrating their
small victories with them. I love meeting them where they are, whether they’re just beginning their fitness journey or whether they’re looking to maintain strength and independence as they
age.
