some things reveal themselves while you’re still in motion.

i filmed this between Passy and Bir-Hakeim, the stretch of metro line 6 in paris where the eiffel tower just appears through the window.

you’re still moving. you haven’t arrived anywhere yet. and then suddenly, there it is.

you’re not at the destination. you’re figuring it out in real time. and then something shows up that reminds you exactly why you kept going.

that’s virgo new moon energy.

not the dramatic reset. the quiet one. the one that happens while you’re already moving, already doing the work, already becoming something you don’t have a name for yet.

wherever you are right now in motion, in transition, in the middle of something you can’t fully name, you’re not lost.

you’re just not there yet.

please keep going 🚇🗼

day six and seven. the end 😭

day six was the second day of the conference and somehow so much more relaxed. winning the DAM bake off the day before meant people kept coming up to say congratulations, to ask questions about Air, and to even take pictures. it was a lot in the best way.

we wrapped early, which gave me unexpected time to go on a little adventure of my own. the company i was with made it to stonehenge — so happy they got to experience that. i didn’t make it this time. but i will be going back for that specifically.

the highlight of day six was dinner. blacklock. one of our cab drivers recommended it and i’m so glad we listened. the food was incredible, the bartender was so sweet, turned out he’d spent time in toronto, and he loved that synchronicity so much he gave us some free drinks, free appetizers, great conversation. the kind of night you don’t plan for and don’t forget.

day seven was my last day in london. i thought it would be fitting to see big ben. the london eye. genuinely gorgeous. we were a little tight on time getting to the airport but we made it, because of course we did.
outside of the heatwave, this trip was everything.

first time in both the uk and france. company for some of the harder moments. a work win i didn’t see coming. food that changed my mind about london. signs from jet’aime in paris on her birthday. a stranger with a camera who just wanted us to have a moment.

i said i would make it to europe in 2026 and i fu***ng did 🤍and it was more magical than i could have expected.

day four started with me packing in paris and heading back to london. and if getting to Paris felt like an adventure, getting back was a whole other thing. delayed by 30 minutes, packed in with so many people i felt like a sardine. the eurostar was not it that day.

got to london, checked-in, and gave myself one stop — the tower of london. the crown jewels, the ravens, the history. i’m glad i went.
but y’all. the heatwave was not playing. by the end of the day all i wanted was ac and silence. europe in during a heatwave will humble you every single time.

day five was the whole reason for the trip.

Air sent me to DAM Europe to demo our tool in seven minutes, a full scenario with five specific steps. I was nervous. genuinely nervous. But when i got up there, hit every single step, and realized i was the only presenter who actually did what was asked.

easy win. demo calls booked. LinkedIn DMs from the attendees with praise. absolutely crushed it. people are still talking about it to this day!

and the best way to end a work victory in london? a jamaican restaurant that had no business being that good. and listen, i know london gets a bad reputation for food. i believed it too. but i ate better in london than i did in paris and i don’t know what to do with that fact.

to top it all off, a stranger stopped me and the boy i was with outside. said he’d been a photographer for 20 years, that he couldn’t walk past without asking to take out photos, that we looked so colourful and he just wanted us to have this moment.

angels are really all around us 🤍

i’m a month late posting this. i’ve been sitting with it.

day three in paris was the whole reason i extended the trip. the whole reason i went from london to paris at all.

june 23 would have been Jet’aime 27th birthday.she always wanted to go to paris. and i like to think she made it there with me💜

i had a lazy start to the day. really let myself feel ALL of my emotions, and there was a lot of them. then I went to the catacombs, which sounds like a strange choice, but it made sense to me. it felt synchronized.

and when i walked out, the first thing i saw was a sign that reminded me she’s still here. the signs were everywhere, same with the kindness of strangers pouring into me.

eventually, i stopped counting the signs and just started receiving them.

i went to the l’arc de triomphe, and a french pharmacy that took more of my money than i planned and was absolutely worth it.

late night pizza. and then the eiffel tower twinkling before i had to pack up and head back to london for work.

i couldn’t have planned a better day to just be in paris, especially for my last day there.

i hope you enjoyed your 27th heavenly birthday, jet’aime 🤍 love you, always 🕊️

day two of paris was off to a rocky start. and then it wasn’t.

we missed our original window by a few minutes. the louvre closed early because of the heat — something neither of us knew was possible. and for a second it felt like the day was slipping.

but that’s the thing about plans. sometimes they fall apart so something better can breathe.

we figured it out. got our own tickets, took the train, took our time. the eiffel towel was breathtaking. we took every picture, stayed longer than we meant to. the architecture, the view, the way it just holds itself in the middle of a city like it has nothing to prove — i wasn’t ready for how it would feel.

good food. subway rides with no agenda. back to the ac to reset. then out for drinks and a night i’m keeping for myself 🥰

the day didn’t go as planned. it went as it was supposed to.

still my favorite day in paris.

work brought me to milan. i decided that wasn’t enough.

this was my first time in europe ever.
i told myself last year that 2026 was the year i was getting there, i just didn’t know how.

turns out it was a sales dinner and a conference that got me on the plane. and honestly, nothing is better than a business trip. expenses, flights, accommodations handled. it made the idea of extending my stay and making real time for myself actually possible.

so i did.

i was a little nervous about the extra money, the kind of nervous where you check your account twice and almost talk yourself out of it. but i reminded myself : i saved for exactly this. for moments that don’t come around twice.

my first full day was mine. i made my way to naviglio, found a spot by the canal, ordered a spritz, and just sat there. there was a market that sunday, vendors and colours, and people moving slowly through it all. i walked through the whole thing with nowhere to be.

the next day was rome. bigger, louder, more. but naviglio was the quiet before all of that.

i’m proud of myself for saying yes. for putting experiences first. for knowing i work hard — so i should play even harder.
