Let’s talk about the word “moderation” because I know it means something different to everyone.
I see lots of content online that uses moderation as an excuse to eat thousands of calories' worth of junk food in one sitting.
That’s not moderation to me it's just a different extreme!
Here’s what balance actually looks like in MY life:
I don’t label foods as “good” or “bad,” but I most definitely look at ingredients, whether they nourish me, and whether I enjoy them. About 80–85% of my meals are built around whole foods, lean protein, veggies, healthy fats, and complex carbs.
The other 15–20%? I enjoy without guilt. A piece of dark chocolate in the afternoon. A patio brunch with my favourite people.Or that yummy ice cream cone on a hot summer day!
On a day-to-day basis, that looks like starting every morning with a protein-rich breakfast, getting vegetables into lunch and dinner, and not stressing over a treat when it’s genuinely worth it.
No deprivation. Not all-or-nothing. Just a sustainable approach I can live with for life.

Sleep isn't a luxury. It's when your body actually does the work. Your muscles repair, your brain consolidates what you learned, and your hormones regulate. Get 7-9 hours. Put your phone down a few hours before your scheduled bedtime. It can make all the difference in the quality of your sleep. Make it non-negotiable. It's as important as the workout itself.
