Our season in review.

The season seemed to come just as fast as it went. Team Miller made some changes during the off season with the team line up and positions. The biggest of which was welcoming James Owens on board. Our off season was filled with team development meetings, goal setting targets, and some team bonding experiences. During this time is when we chose our schedule, and decided to do a Canadian Tour event. Then suddenly before we knew it, we were back on the ice in August.

With early access thanks to the High Performance Program we joined, we were quickly training and getting accustomed to our new line up and roles.

Our first competition happened in Saskatoon and we started out strong. In this one weekend alone, we had surpassed our game winning stats from the entire previous season. Even managing to get to a Semi-Final. This was the starting of the season we had hoped for.

For the remainder of the season, the competition was tough. We had managed to qualify one other time, and continued to fight through the season.

Heading to Leduc, our first Canadian Tour event, was a great experience and we all enjoyed the weekend away and playing very competitive teams, many we had never played before.

Unfortunately, we had come short of our goal to make it to the Tankard by the end of the season. However, we did have a significantly better season than the one previous and enjoyed playing with each other and playing against our competitors.

We would like to thank our very supportive sponsors, many of which have been sponsoring us for multiple years. Thank you all for making it possible for us to do what we love. We would also like to thank our family and friends for always supporting and coming out and cheering whenever possible.

We would also like to thank our coach, Stacy Lloyd, for putting in countless hours on and off the ice to help push us to be the best we can be.

And now moving forward, team Miller has decided to part ways. We all wish the best for one another and still remain great friends. I hope to see you all again on and off the ice. Thank you all again for always following our adventures, and being part of the team.
