Behind every successful event is an incredible group of people who give their time, energy, and heart to make it all possible, and Rita’s Run was no exception. 💚

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and race committee for everything you poured into this event. From the planning stages to race day, your support, dedication, and countless hours helped make Rita’s Run 2025 such an incredible success.

They say it takes a village, and we truly had the very best one. We are beyond grateful for each and every one of you.

Today, I ran the 10K course of Rita’s Run in honour of my sister. It’s a tradition I’ve carried with me each year - returning to the course the day after the event to reflect, to remember, and to quietly think about the profound impact she had on my life, and the ways she still continues to shape it every day.

There’s something deeply meaningful about doing this on my own. The solitude allows space for gratitude, memory, and connection. Today was no exception. The weather was perfect, and both my heart and mind were exactly where they needed to be.

Happy Mother’s Day, Rita. I miss you dearly, and I love you so much. 💚💚
