Your Story Matters
We warmly invite you to share your experience to help shape a Perinatal Loss Care Pathway—a compassionate approach to supporting families through one of life’s most heartbreaking moments: the loss of a baby during pregnancy or around birth.
More than ten years ago, courageous families came forward to share their stories of perinatal mood disorders. Their voices helped us build a maternal mental health care pathway that continues to support countless families today.
Now, we are reaching out again—this time to families who have experienced the pain of pregnancy or infant loss. Your insight, your strength, and your story can help us create a meaningful path forward for others who walk this difficult road.
We invite you to join us in a caring, respectful conversation as we work together to build a supportive, healing journey for grieving families.

Mental Health Matters

👷‍♂️🧠 Mental Health Matters at Work 👷‍♂️🧠

June is Men’s Health Month — a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health, especially in demanding industries and hands-on workplaces. Research shows many men, particularly trades workers, may push through stress, pain, fatigue, or emotional struggles without reaching out for support.

Chronic pain, long hours, physical strain, and workplace stress can all affect mental well-being. Sometimes it shows up as irritability, exhaustion, withdrawal, trouble sleeping, or increased substance use — not just “feeling sad.”

Simple actions can make a difference in your workplace:
• Check in with coworkers regularly
• Encourage conversations without judgment
• Normalize asking for help
• Take short breaks to reset and recharge
• Promote healthy coping tools and support resources

We encourage you to check out the Mindfit Toolkit with FREE Resources for men to manage stress, anxiety, and depression.

Why are we making ASIST programming available to our people?

Because our people matter. Because every life matters.

Across Canada, Indigenous communities, including First Nations, Métis peoples and Inuit continue to experience disproportionately higher rates of su***de and su***de related impacts. We know that prevention starts with connection, conversation, and communities that are prepared to support one another.

That’s why we are offering ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training). This training helps equip individuals with practical skills to recognize when someone may be struggling, respond with confidence and compassion, and help connect them to safety and support.

Our goal is not to create counsellors. Our goal is to create a stronger, safer community where people know how to show up for one another. A community where asking for help is met with understanding and where more people feel seen, valued, and supported.

Together, we can build a su***de safer community through knowledge, connection, and care. ❤️

🎤✨ Congratulations to our 2026 Pecha Kucha Presenters!

This incredible group of students now joins a growing community of Pecha Kucha alumni—individuals who have stepped onto the stage, shared their voice, and inspired others through their ideas and stories.

From the first practice to the final presentation at the Vic Juba Community Theatre, these students showed courage, creativity, and a willingness to be seen and heard.

Being a Pecha Kucha presenter is more than just a presentation—
it’s about building confidence, finding your voice, and leaving a lasting impact.

We can’t wait to see where your ideas take you next. 💥
