WERE BACK! USC has recently announced that clubs can begin in-person operations again so we’re back in full force!

Our first climb night is this Sunday, March 6th and there’s no more capacity or bookings!!! This means you can show up whenever you want (assuming you’re a member) and can switch between routes and bouldering!

Entry fees for the semester have reset so don’t forget those - you can prepay online using the link in our instagram bio!

It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce that all Western Climbing Club climb nights for the remainder of the academic year are cancelled. As we are a club under the USC, we must follow their rulings as they have decided to cancel all in-person club activities for the rest of the semester.

Don’t worry though! Provincial health guidelines have allowed climbing gyms to reopen across the province which includes Junction and eventually the newest London climbing gym, J2 (opening early 2022)!

We hope to see some similar faces at the climbing walls throughout this year and can’t wait to welcome you all back to the club in September (hopefully🤞🏻)

Also, be sure to stay tuned for some exciting giveaways and challenges these next few months!

I know you’re all eagerly waiting the return of climbing club - so are we. Unfortunately, we don’t have an update for you all quite yet. There has yet to be an announcement by the USC about in-person club activities and there’s still uncertainty surrounding the reopening and new capacity restrictions concerning Ontario gyms. (including Junction)

Rest assured though, as soon as news comes out we’ll update you all ASAP!

In the meantime we hope you’re all staying active so you can come back stronger than ever and gets some gnarly sends🤙🏻

This Sunday is our last climb as well as our first in-club comp!

We’ve prepared 10 climbs at various difficulties to give you all a fun challenge and to compete for some exciting prizes!

Be sure to arrive promptly at your entry time because you only get ONE HOUR from your entry time to climb!

We’ll be implementing a point system as well as a buddy system - similar to UBS which we’ll explain when you all arrive!

Reminder: The deadline for UBS sign ups with the club end on November 7th. After this date, even if you book for the 3-5PM timeslot, we will be unable to reimburse you nor provide you with transportation.

Reminder: Because of reading week, our next climb night will be November 7th! Bookings open Sunday, October 31st at 6:30PM.

Heyo Crushers,

Hope y’all doing well! As you might know, UBS for this semester is at Top Rock climbing on November 20th. Couple of important things to consider before registering:

• This year, considering new USC rules regarding competition/out of school events, we will be providing transportation from London to Top Rock and back for the 3 PM-5 PM time slot.

• The spots are limited, and we can only take ~35 people for this time slot (make sure to book ASAP before it gets full).

• Important: Those who are going with us from London will get reimbursed for the comp! (Basically, transportation and comp both are free for those ~35 individuals).

• You can register for any other time slots and use your own method of transportation but due to USC rules, we can not reimburse you at this time.

• Unfortunately, for no-shows for the comp we can not reimburse at this time even if you registered for 3-5 PM.

• Once again, please make sure to book your spot only for 3 PM-5 PM ASAP since UBS is popular among university students. If you are booked for other time slots and want to attend with us, make sure to call Top Rock to switch your spot to 3PM-5PM.

• Once you sign up for the comp and attend the event with us, please fill out the google sheet in the following post.

• If you sign up before November 1st, you will get a free UBS shirt during the comp!

• UBS is a great opportunity for gaining comp experience as well as a fun climbing day along with other university students!

Sorry for any possible inconvenience this year regarding the comp. We are part of USC and we must obey USC rules at all times. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a message or ask us in person on Sunday.
