Big Wave Aquatics has been invited to the Water Safety Expo in St. Thomas.
THIS THURSDAY, May 7th — and we are SO excited to be part of it! 🎉

First Responders Day 🚨💙

Today, the Elgin County Drowning Prevention Coalition recognizes and thanks the dedicated first responders who help keep our communities safe.

From lifeguards and paramedics to firefighters, Coast Guard members, dispatchers, police, and all those who respond in moments of need — your courage, skill, and commitment make a lasting difference. 🛟🚑🚒🚤📞

As a coalition focused on drowning prevention and community safety, we are especially grateful for the individuals and teams who protect people in and around the water, respond to emergencies, and support prevention efforts before tragedies occur.

Thank you for your service, your leadership, and your continued commitment to safer communities. 💙

Big Wave Aquatics is fired up to bring a true lifeguard competition to Strathroy—fast rescues, intense races, all built around the Tsunami Rescue Board.
This is real gear, real skills, and real lifesaving in action. 🌊🔥

We're hosting lifeguard competition at the Strathroy Fairgrounds Waterpark! With the help of great friends like Big Wave Aquatics, Strathroy Sports, Plater Financial Inc., Rusty Wrench Brewing Company and representation from amazing brands like Speedo and Nova Craft Canoe we're bringing an event the likes the town has never seen before! Dramatic rescues, intense races, and a showcase of safety and athleticism.

That's fitness for the rest of us.

Huge milestone for Big Wave Aquatics 🌊
The YMCA has officially taken possession of the first four Tsunami Rescue Boards from their order.

We’re incredibly proud to see our boards heading into service and supporting lifeguards where it matters most. Looking forward to seeing Tsunami Rescue Boards in YMCAs and community pools across the nation.

Today I had the opportunity to present the Tsunami Rescue Board and Tidal Wave Fitness Board to the City of London, and the presentation went amazing!

Looking forward to working with the city to outfit their pools with the next generation of aquatic safety and aquatic fitness equipment from Big Wave Aquatics.

Full Circle Moment 🌊💪

Today I was back at the Centre Branch YMCA — where I used to lifeguard — to give a presentation. I’ve been back many times over the years, but this visit felt different. This time, I brought something I’ve spent years developing: the Tidal Wave Aqua Fitness Board.

As part of the presentation, I laid out all of my prototypes — and realized I’ve never actually shared the full progression publicly. Each version tells a story of trial, error, learning, and persistence.

So here they are: the evolution of an idea that started with a sketch and turned into something real. Grateful for the journey and everyone who’s helped along the way.
