🐱‍👤This holiday focuses on giving extra attention to our pets. The day encourages pampering our pets and focusing on the special relationship pets hold in our lives.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🐩Our pets love us unconditionally! They are our devoted companions. They help us not feel lonely, help us feel joy, put a smile on our face, reduce stress..etc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I know my Lucy does not leave my side when I work all day at home. She always seems to know when I am having a stressful day. She will jump on my desk, and I start petting her, and I start to feel better right away. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Growing up, I was always a true independent. I didn’t need anyone to hold my hand to go to the bathroom or play Barbies with me...I would take off by myself and play sports with the boys! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✌️When I got older, I had this same attitude…” I got this! I don’t need anybody!”Then in college, I got slapped in the face by the “I can’t stick to a damn workout to save my life” stick. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤦‍♀️I tried going to the campus gym, tried the classes, heck I even bought a gym membership across town, thinking “fancier equipment” would do the trick. ✖️NOPE,✖️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The common denominator here? Nowhere that I went, did anyone give a crap if I showed up. They weren’t calling or texting at 5:30 am when I didn’t show up to HIIT class or my weights session. It wasn’t until I joined my first challenge group and had a coach checking in with me daily that I finally was held accountable for the goals I set. And I felt so much better knowing that my coach and the other girls in the group were showing up daily too...I wasn’t alone. They cared about my goals and progress. If they saw I hadn’t checked in by 5 pm, they messaged me to check in on if I had gotten my workout in. That was the game-changer.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪That was one of the biggest motivators for me and one of the reasons I became a coach to be that person for others. Plus, if you want some REAL accountability...become a coach and have people watching you and counting on you...TRUST AND BELIEVE that you’ll want to show up. Coaching...yeah, it’s seriously the best accountability. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In my career, I loved teaching and helping raise up future leaders, yet I had this burning desire to help others become better versions of themselves AND create a life of freedom for myself and my family. As life went on, what got me up in the morning was my business, checking in with my challengers, and seeing others show up for themselves right alongside me. I finally decided to let go of the fear of “not using my degree” and let my passion lead the way. And the cool thing is...I still get to teach and raise leaders, just in a different way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I first saw the price tag of that first challenge pack, I immediately thought…” NOPE, I can’t afford that!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🙅I’d spent my entire life hearing my parents say we didn’t need that, couldn’t afford this, those things are too expensive, etc. It’s almost like that money block was etched permanently into my mind because as I got older, I found myself saying those SAME. EXACT. THINGS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But here’s the kicker...I had NO PROBLEM buying $100 jeans, $5 coffees, or going out to eat 2-3 times per week. I didn’t bat an eye at the gym membership (that I never used). What I realized was I was telling myself I couldn’t afford the challenge pack because I was too scared to invest in MYSELF. I didn’t want to put skin in the game and then fail. But then my coach helped me break it down and realize how much money I was ACTUALLY spending and how much money I would actually SAVE buying the challenge pack. It blew my dang mind. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤯Long story short, I bought the challenge pack, fell completely in LOVE with taking care of myself and feeling good, and signed up as a coach, because I couldn’t NOT share this with everyone (plus I save money each month working on my goals… ). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Winter and I...we have an interesting relationship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
❄️Ya see, I love when it snows and it looks all pretty and I can cuddle up inside with a cup of coffee and not have to leave my house (thank you work-at-home lifestyle), but when I have to get out to run an errand or walk the dog in the frigid temps...let’s just say, I’m NOT thrilled. I’m actually kind of a weanie when it comes to being cold...like, “this girl needs a beach yo!” 🏖My outfit choices when I do wander outside in the winter can be quite amusing, so tell me, which one are you?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What have you done for YOU lately?

When was the last time you felt good about yourself just because you had the intention, time and confidence to do so?
