“This ain’t Burger King, you can’t have it your way🍔🤷🏼‍♂️” is the exact advice half my clients needed. And my biggest failure was not telling them so.

Not because I wanted to string them along for🫰🏻💰Nope. These are almost always your lowest paying and least reliable clients. I just assumed they’d wake up and smell the coffee ☕️ The missed sessions, the refusal to eat better, the minimal training effort, the constant injuries and ailments *outside* of the gym. The writing is on the wall, right? Nah, they’ll just “Start fresh next week” (where all goals go to die🪦)

Gentle parenting doesn’t work on problem clients. These are comfort addicts. I wouldn’t degrade them for it, but I will pay them the courtesy of truth;

Respect yourself. Show up. Do the things you say you will. And you’ll get there.

Key Notes 📝

• I’m referring to short straps or versa grips, not figure 8s or anything long enough to get 3+ revolutions ❌

• I personally tend to save my versas for top sets involving slick handles/attachments ✅ If I don’t need them, I don’t use them.

• As a powerlifter, I generally only used straps after a hand tear 🩸”Crushing the bar” was built into every set, so grip strength was built up naturally years prior.

• If you’re a strongman, arm wrestler, rock climber etc, totally different ballgame ⚾️ This clip is directed at people chasing the hyper trophy🏆

When it rains, it PR’s👌🏻Sometimes you’re the hammer 🔨 and sometimes you’re the nail 🎯 For every 3 workouts, you can expect to have one great session, one good session, and one ugly session🤷🏼‍♂️ Some call it the rule of 3’s (which is perfect, because I can only count to 4🤝🏻)
