COME ON…isn’t there one thing that doesn’t seem to fall apart over 40?!😧

The good news is that if you don’t like peeing yourself, you can change that.

Many of my clients that come in with pelvic health symptoms like leaking, have no idea this is something we can overcome.

Like S. S came to be with goals of getting stronger and fat loss. She mentioned she leaks on occasion and wears a pad daily.

With strength training and pelvic floor muscle training, S is now laughing and running without soaking her pads. 💦

As much as I advocate for strength over 40, I advocate for pelvic health as well. Your pelvic floor is the centre of your core and by having well functioning muscles, you improve things like balance too.

I am looking for 2 women who are wanting to get strong from the inside to work with me 1:1 online for an extremely generous rate.

I’m so sick of seeing and responding to posts where some personal trainers are tearing down others for appearing out of shape.

I am an “overweight “ personal trainer.

During the pandemic, I went through the worst depression of my life. My body ached and it was all I could do to get out of bed.

After taking a 2 year break from my training to heal mentally, I gained 40 pounds. For a while, I was ashamed.

I’ve been back training for over a year and haven’t lost much weight at all. That ok! 👌

The most important thing is that I’m well. And I’m stronger than before…so there’s that too

Well, hello 👋 ⬇️

Welcome to my safe little corner on the internet.

I see a lot new faces, so I thought it’d be fun to share some fun facts and you can share something fun about you in the comments 👇

As you can see, I’m a mom of 3. I love being a mom, but like most of the women I work with-it’s the reason I have 2 prolapses.

I was diagnosed with my first prolapse after my second pregnancy almost 9 yrs ago. I remember being disappointed because I had a beautiful home birth with no medical interventions, on my hands and knees.

And at that time, experts advised this as the optimal way to prevent prolapse. (yes, I once believed prolapse was 💯 preventable).

A lot has changed in that time, but we’re still learning a TONNE more!

I got into working with prolapse as a .postpartum.athlete coach. and PFSA specialist. I had taken both courses for their focus on pelvic health and staying active as a mom.

After working exclusively with pre/postnatal women for nearly a decade, I transitioned into working with midlife women.

Now a midlife woman (I’ve been in perimenopause for 10 years), there are even more gaps in women’s health.

This scares me because I’ve experienced the worst of how our healthcare system treats women with extreme symptoms.

One way I can make a dent in women’s health is to work with women of all ages and stages with prolapse & other pelvic floor dysfunctions. But more than that too. An advocate for aging well.

And when women in their 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s are coming to me because they want to discover their inner athlete…I’m thrilled. 🥰

It’s never too late to find your athletic side. As we age, we need to preserve and build our strength to support your overall health.

❤️ What’s the difference between affirmations and intentions? And does it even matter?

▶️ Both are powerful mindset tools backed by science. So, yes, it matters!

Especially when they work together.

Here’s one way to think of them:

☔ Affirmations are like an umbrella, protecting you from negativity and distractions by shielding you with positive thoughts.

🏃‍♀️ Intentions are all about the things you intend to do UNDER the umbrella to make your goals a reality!

EXAMPLE:

Affirmation: My body is resilient, capable, and strong.

Intention: My food choices today will support my health and fitness goals.

Today think up a couple of affirmation and intention combos that are aligned with your goals — and then put them to work for you!
