Final Weekend of the Season!

It’s hard to believe we’ve reached our last paddling weekend of the season, and the weather looks like it plans to send us out on a high note with sunny, warm afternoons!

As always, hours are weather and conditions permitting, and please have all boats and equipment returned 15 minutes before closing.

A sincere thank you to all of our volunteers who gave their time to keep the Club running this summer, and to our members for joining us on the water and supporting the Club. It’s been a good season at Sharon Creek.

Come enjoy one last paddle with us this weekend!

Weekend Paddling Update

Good news, we have a volunteer for Saturday afternoon, so we’ll be open at Sharon Creek this weekend:

🛶 Saturday, September 19: 1:00–4:00 PM
🛶 Sunday, September 20: 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

The weather forecast is still a little uncertain, so please check our page before heading out if conditions look questionable.

If weather requires us to close, we’ll post an update when possible. Our volunteer may also add a comment to this post to let everyone know if the Club has closed early.

As always, hours are weather and conditions permitting, and please have all boats and equipment returned 15 minutes before closing.

We’re getting close to the end of our paddling season, so hopefully the weather cooperates for another weekend on the water!

Weekend Update & Volunteers Needed

We’re hoping the weather turns out a little better than currently forecast for this weekend!

🙋 Saturday, September 19: We’re looking for experienced Sharon Creek volunteers for both shifts:

10:00 AM–1:00 PM
1:00–4:00 PM

With rain in the forecast, volunteers should be comfortable keeping an eye on conditions and making the call about whether it’s appropriate to open or remain open. I’ll be out of town but available by message if our volunteers need to connect about a weather-related closure.

🛶 Sunday, September 20: We have our volunteers in place for 10:00 AM–4:00 PM and are hoping Mother Nature cooperates!

As always, our hours are weather and conditions permitting, and boats and equipment need to be returned at least 15 minutes before closing.

Only a couple of paddling weekends left in the season, so we’re hoping for some good September paddling weather!

It looks like we have a beautiful September weekend ahead, and there are only a few paddling weekends left in our season!

As always, hours are weather permitting, and please have all boats and equipment back 15 minutes before closing.

Saturday Volunteer Needed

We’d love to be able to open at Sharon Creek for the full day this Saturday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM, but we need one more experienced volunteer to make it happen.

🙋 We currently have one volunteer who can cover either shift, so you can choose whichever works best for you:

10:00 AM–1:00 PM or 1:00–4:00 PM

If you’re available to take one of the shifts, please send us a message and we’ll work around you.

One more volunteer = a full Saturday of paddling!

Labour Day Monday at Sharon Creek

The weather is looking great for a holiday paddle! We’re open today from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. ☀️

⏰ Please remember to have all boats back by 2:45 PM so our volunteers have time to put everything away.

With the earlier sunsets, there will be no Monday or Tuesday evening hours in September. Thanks to the volunteers who made our extra evening paddling possible this summer!

🙋 Looking ahead, we still need a few volunteers:

Labour Day Weekend at Sharon Creek

Here’s when we’ll be open for the long weekend, weather and conditions permitting:

🛶 Saturday, September 5: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM UPDATED

🛶 Sunday, September 6: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

🍁 Labour Day Monday, September 7: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

A few reminders before heading out:

- Bring your membership card (digital or printed) and photo ID for adult members.
- Please have all boats and equipment returned at least 15 minutes before closing.
- Hours are always weather permitting, so check our social media before heading out if the weather looks questionable.

A big thank you to the volunteers giving some of their long weekend so our members can get out on the water. Enjoy the Labour Day weekend!

We’re looking for a little extra volunteer help to make the most of the long weekend at Sharon Creek!

🙋 Saturday, September 5: We have coverage from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM and are looking for a volunteer to cover 1:00–4:00 PM so we can stay open for the full day.

🛶 Sunday, September 6: We have coverage from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM.

🍁 Labour Day Monday: Would anyone like to open the Club? If you’re an experienced Sharon Creek volunteer, you can choose the hours that work for you. Even a few hours would give members another opportunity for a holiday paddle.
