I'm excited to share that Mike was moved from Toronto to London this afternoon, putting him closer to home and all those that love him.

He has been taken off the ventilator, and has shown involuntarily movement of his fingers and toes, which shows promise.

As Mike has a traumatic brain injury, there are many unknown factors at this time, still to be explored. All we know at this point is that we have a long road ahead.

Thank you for all the continued love and support. I cannot express our gratitude enough for all the generous donations and fundraisers being held in Mike’s name, to support his healing.

I wanted to give everyone a update on Mike.
He is still currently in a Toronto Hospital he has been moved from the Critical Care unit to ICU which we are taking as a positive move.
Currently Mike is still getting assistance from the ventilator to help with his breathing, and although he is still not awake- we are optimistic of his recovery, that being said -until we wakes up it is difficult to get an accurate prognosis. Which makes answering questions very difficult.

I want to thank everyone who has reached out over text messages, calls and social media. I'm truly blown away by the support from family and friends- I just have not been able to get back to everyone, but please know how grateful my family is for the thoughts and prayers. #125 is a fighter.

Im happy to share that we witnessed some uplifting progress today. Mike opened his eyes for the first time since Saturday. Dr's are optimistic that this shows brain function and are hoping that they will be able to attempt to have him removed from the ventilator. The next step will be moving out of the critical care unit and into the intensive care unit. We feel like this is a huge step in progression.

I would like to take the opportunity now to thank everyone who is continuing to pray and send healing positive vibes our way. For all of the texts, messesges and calls I am overwhelmed, truly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and support for our family. I truly feel as if have an army of people rooting for us.

I am not able to respond individually to everyone but will continue to update as things continue to unfold.

P.S. Mariusz Uchi I don't know what you told him but I'm sure it would make grandma blush.

This past Saturday Mike was proudly competing in CSBK.

Mike sustained serious injuries while competing and was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains unconscious, fighting to wake up. Doctors are hopeful.
Anyone that knows Mike, knows he is a fighter who will overcome any and all odds.
We will update as information becomes available.

I want to thank everyone for their continued support and strength through this ordeal. I will keep this account posted with information as we can process it.
