We’re excited to welcome you and your dogs October 2-4 for Canada's first WCERA trial. It is sure to be a weekend of competition, teamwork, and most importantly, FUN!

🐾 Remember, you don’t need to enter every game! Choose the ones that are the most fun for both you and your dog! Nursery and Level 1 can be played in the same trial, and you don’t need a Nursery title to compete in Level 1. Also remember that this is the first WCERA trial for everyone! So don't feel that you need to give a perfect performance, we all have to start somewhere, so why not give it a go in a welcoming supportive environment!

If you can't make it to an introduction session and still want to give it a try, you are more than welcome to enter the trial! Nursery level is designed for dogs to succeed even if they haven't had any experience! Games briefings will be detailed, and participants are encouraged to ask questions or gain clarification before every run.

Remember, you don't have to enter every game! WCERA is all about having fun together, so focus on the things your dog enjoys and don’t stress over the things they don’t like. Pick the games that sound fun for both of you!

Canadian WCERA Dog Registration

To make the WCERA dog registration process easier for Canadian competitors, I will be collecting registration information and payments on WCERA’s behalf.

Since Venmo is not available in Canada and PayPal is not as commonly used, you can submit your dog’s information and payment through the form below. I will compile the applications and forward them, along with one bulk payment, to WCERA for processing.

Once processed, you will receive your dog’s official WCERA registration number. This is a permanent number that can be used to enter WCERA trials.

If you are planning to enter the October trial, please do your best to submit your dog’s registration by Friday, September 4. This will give us time to have the numbers processed before trial registration opens on September 6.

If you have submitted your dog registration but have not received the number by the time trial entries open, you may still enter the trial, simply note that your WCERA registration is pending.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN: WCERA WORKSHOP SEPTEMBER 5 & 6

Whether you’re brand new to WCERA and/or dog sports or already have some experience under your belt, this workshop is for you!

We’ll be offering 3 sessions each day, with training tailored to the experience level of each dog and handler.

For new teams, this is a great introduction to WCERA and an opportunity to learn the different games, skills, and concepts that make up this unique sport.

For returning teams, we’ll focus on building and refining skills, troubleshooting challenges, and helping you prepare for our WCERA Canadian Regional Championship trial coming up October 2–4.

$75 for the first dog
$60 for a second dog from the same household

This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for dogs and handlers of all experience levels. Whether you're brand new to scent work, obedience, retrieval, or rat sports, or already have experience in one or more of those areas, this workshop is designed to meet you where you and your dog are at.

You'll be introduced to several exciting WCERA games, including:

🐀 Trail Bound

We'll cover scent work using wintergreen, problem-solving, teamwork, and game-specific skills in a supportive, fun environment. Every game can be broken down into individual skills, making this a welcoming and fully inclusive experience for both beginners and experienced teams. You don't need a finished sport dog, just a willingness to learn and have FUN with your dog.
