🎾 Tennis Tip Tuesday with François Danican
Master the Short-Angled Forehand

One of the most effective ways to move your opponent off the court is with a well-executed short-angled forehand. Instead of always hitting deep, use this shot to create space and open the court for your next attack.

Here are François’ three keys:

✅ Prepare Early – Get your racquet back quickly so you have time to adjust your contact point.
✅ Brush Up and Across the Ball – Create topspin while slightly wrapping around the outside of the ball to produce a sharp crosscourt angle.
✅ Finish with Purpose – Aim to land the ball short in the service box with enough spin to pull your opponent wide, then recover quickly to take advantage of the open court.
Remember, the short angle isn’t about hitting harder—it’s about using spin, placement, and court geometry to stay one step ahead.
