Today Our NAIG golf team started their winter training program! @ The Links at Brunello Our team of two males and two females started with baseline testing, functional tests and fitness training. Looking forward to the offseason!

The Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic unveiled plaques and flag today at a ceremony in Halifax recognizing and acknowledging that this
Centre is located in Mi’kmaki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq.

They partnered with team Mi’kmaq Nova Scotia back in 2017 to support our athletes and are committed to continuing the partnership.

New program!!!

Mi’kmaw Sport Science Program (Basketball)

Team Mi’kmaw Nova Scotia in partnership with the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic (CSCA) ) have developed this program to assist Mi’kmaw and Indigenous athletes and coaches in achieving their optimal performances. In this program the CSCA will provide sport science expertise for provincial teams, including mental training, nutrition, exercise physiology/planning, strength and conditioning as well as sport specific skill development (individual and team)

Each discipline of the CSCA Integrated Support Team (IST) is an essential component for athletes training at an elite level.

We will be accepting up to 30 males and 30 females into the program. We are looking for athletes born in 2003 to 2006 for this one year program.
