A group of women who'd like to get together and enjoy a walk. No strings attached. An opportunity for self care and connection. No membership fees.
Women in Nature Together was founded as part of my (Melissa's) personal journey in 2017. I wanted to expand my healthy female identifying crew, and explore nature surrounding the Greater Halifax area. WiNT is for women to come together in nature to walk or roll to foster our self care, with no strings attached. No additional meetings. Come out for a walk, when you can. You are responsible for deci
ding if the hikes are for you, and you will be responsible for your own safety at all times. Women in Nature Together is meant to be welcoming. Inclusive of ability, and female gender identity. I want everyone to feel comfortable while plugging into yourself. I ask that we be respectful of difference and difference of opinion. I hope these Women in Nature Together opportunities will be a way for you to connect with other women who enjoy nature and celebrate the differences and similarities between us. If child care would stop you from coming, children are welcome. Dogs are allowed and it's strongly suggested that they be used to being around other dogs and people. Leashes are expected for on-leash areas. Events will take place in public places and 'at your own risk'. Throughout the month, I'll post messages aimed to get you thinking about your own self care, nature, wellness, or a combination. This group is public, so keep that in mind, and consider sharing your thoughts on the posts, or how the group is helping you.
