📣 NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Mission Minor Fastpitch Association is holding our Annual General Meeting on November 5 at 7:00 PM, online through Microsoft Teams.

This is an important opportunity for members to hear updates, review the past season, help shape the year ahead, and participate in our board elections.

🗳️ BOARD ELECTIONS — VOTING POSITIONS

We are accepting nominations for:

Vice President
Supports the President and assists with association operations, planning, programs and board initiatives.

Treasurer
Oversees the association’s finances, budgeting, financial records, reporting and financial planning.

Registrar
Oversees player registration, maintains membership and registration records, and supports families through the registration process.

🗳️ VOTING ELIGIBILITY

All voters must be members in good standing of Mission Minor Fastpitch Association.

We also have several non-voting volunteer positions available:

• Division Coordinator – Supports a specific age division and helps coordinate communication, schedules and team needs.

• Rep Coordinator – Assists with the development and coordination of the Mission Blaze Rep program, including communication, planning and rep team support.

• Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator – Helps develop sponsorship opportunities, fundraising initiatives and relationships with local businesses and community partners.

🧡 September 30 | National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, Mission Minor Fastpitch takes a moment to honour the survivors, families and communities affected by residential schools, and to recognize the ongoing importance of truth, learning and reconciliation.

As a youth sports organization, we believe sport can help bring people together, build relationships and create spaces where everyone feels welcome.

We are grateful to live, learn and play on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Stó:lō people, and we recognize their enduring connection to these lands.

Today—and every day—we encourage our players, coaches, families and community to listen, learn and carry reconciliation forward.

TODAY IS GAME DAY! ⚾🔥

A new chapter of softball is burning bright in Mission, and we couldn’t be more excited. We are incredibly proud to be rebuilding softball in Mission and taking another big step forward with the launch of the Mission Blaze Rep Program.

Tonight, the Mission Blaze 2010B take the field against the Abbotsford Outlaws 2010B!

🧠🥎 SEPTEMBER IS CONCUSSION AWARENESS MONTH

At Mission Minor Fastpitch, the safety of our athletes comes first.

Coaches, parents and athletes all play an important role in recognizing the signs and symptoms of a possible concussion. When in doubt, sit them out.

🚨 Recognize the signs and symptoms.
🛑 Remove the athlete from play if a concussion is suspected.
🔄 Return to sport only through an appropriate step-by-step process and healthcare guidance.

Let’s keep our players safe, informed and in the game for years to come.
