Hey! Recently got a quilt made of the ride shirts from Riders Against Hunger over the 10 years we organized the charity ride. I collected a ride shirt from every ride from 2011 to 2019 and added the volunteer shirt as well to make up the 10 shirts they needed for the quilt.
It has a loop on the top so it can be hung on a wall (if I can find a wall in our house where Natalie will let me hang it!). Right now it is a cover for our comfy chair in the living room.
Thought I would post this on the RAH page as this is a pretty amazing way to commemorate the ten years when planning RAH took up a lot of my available bandwith.
It was good times. Thanks to everyone who joined us for one ride, a few rides or all of them!

Riders Against Hunger was cancelled but there is still a way to get in your ride and support Eden Food For Change!
You are encouraged this week to make a donation to the food bank and then sometime soon on your own or with a few friends you can “Ride your own RAH”.
After you make your donation, if you like you can message Bill Crawford and he will send you a GPX route from one of our previous RAH rides or you can make up your own route.
When you go on your “Ride your own RAH” take some pictures and post them on your page and here on the RAH page using the hashtag
COVID-19 may have shut down our charity ride but it has increased the need at the food bank and Eden needs our support more now than ever before. Please consider donating what you would have paid for registration to support Eden. Thanks.

It was announced in early June that RAH was cancelled for this year due to the COVID pandemic. This would have been our tenth and, as it turns out, our final year.
We were hoping to end on a bang with a big celebration of ten years of riding and raising funds for hungry families in Mississauga. But that was not meant to be.
Thank you to everyone who rode with us over the years. Some of you went on one or two rides and others were there with us every year since our start in 2011! Your support has made such a positive impact in the work of Eden Food for Change every year enabling them to help even more hungry families.
If you would like to make a donation in honour of what would have been our tenth and final year, you can donate through my CanadaHelps RAH 2020 fundraising page. All funds will go directly to the food bank to purchase food and support their programming.
Thanks for everything!

This is the 10th anniversary of Riders Against Hunger! We have been planning this ride and encouraging other bikers to join us on the ride for the last ten years and have raised more money for our charity, Eden Food for Change - a food bank in western Mississauga, every year. I am encouraging you to...

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing restrictions on public gatherings, the RAH planning committee has made the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel this year's Riders Against Hunger on Saturday, August 15th, 2020 in what would have been our tenth anniversary.
We have been monitoring the situation over the last few weeks to see if the restrictions would be lifted by the middle of August. It doesn't look like that will be happening. The City of Mississauga just extended the cancellation of permits for city facilities like the Garry W Morden Centre until September.
Even though the event is cancelled, the food bank at Eden Food For Change which the ride supports needs our help more now through this pandemic than ever before. We will be looking into what we can do leading up to and including what would have been our 10th annual ride in August.
Thanks for your support!

Thanks David for lending your amazing talent for our Stay at Home for Eden benefit concert tonight. You put a lot of effort into making it great and it was so entertaining for everyone who tuned in. Thoroughly enjoyed the great covers and your own songs as well.
Thanks to everyone who watched and sang along with David. Thanks especially to all those who were able to make a donation to the food bank at Eden Food For Change.
If you would like to make a donation, you still can by going to edenffc.org/donate-now.
