CPR and AED skills save lives — and it’s happening right here in our own community.
1. Jarry Park Rescue (CBC Montréal)
A Good Samaritan acted quickly when a man went into cardiac arrest at Jarry Park, performing CPR until emergency services arrived — giving the victim a second chance at life.
2. La Ferme Quinn Field Emergency (La Ferme Quinn Facebook)
While planting strawberries, a colleague collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest. The farm team immediately followed their emergency plan — starting CPR, calling 911, and using their AED — bringing him back before paramedics arrived.
3. Pool Party Hero in Pierrefonds (Montreal Gazette)
When 8-year-old Thakshana Ganeshan nearly drowned at a birthday party, guest Sandra Zagury jumped in to perform CPR. After about a minute of compressions, the child coughed up water and began breathing again, making a full recovery.
My next course is coming up on Thursday Aug 21st 12:30-4:30 in NDG ! Sign up now - spaces limited
