New years resolution? No. Lifetime resolution. Yes.
Change takes time, patience, persistance, and kindness toward yourself. This journey for me was about aging gracefully. I was 51, and in full menopause in 2020. It was a year of knee pain, weight gain, lethargy, and low self esteem. I chose to change. My Beachbody community and their holistic approach, and community support, got me through it...and still do.
I didn't expect to feel so strong, healthy and feeling younger than I have felt in a very long time.
It is not easy seeing my "old" self in 2020. But I'm glad I took a picture, so it showed me how far I have come. Even though most of the change has been internal. There is no secret to this. I just put my self, my mental and physical health, my nutrition as a first priority. So that I can be strong and healthy enough to be there for my friends and family, for I hope a very long time🥰.

My passion has always been to help others, whether as a respiratory therapist, a CPR instructor, a karate teacher, or a personal trainer.

My journey will continue for the rest of my life, and if you want to join me, I would love to help you, coach you, and with the support of my amazing community of gorgeous women with the same goals as me, we will achieve our goals together!
DM me in private and we can chat👐

So thankful for all the great core work we do in the Beachbody workouts 😅. First time ever paddleboarding and trying to stand on it for the first time, I looked like a baby deer when it first stands with shaky legs and big eyes🤣. I got the hang of it,and between falling in the water and getting back up the paddle and the paddleboarding itself...what an amazing full body workout!

Hello lovely ladies!
I'm at the airport having supper and the pickings are slim😅. Junk food is definitely much more popular and less expensive! Finally found a middle Eastern place and had chicken shawarma with wood oven baked pita. I also bought an apple....and it was $1.75! They don't make it easy to eat healthy but I refuse not to take care to eat healthy foods! Thank goodness for Shakeology this morning!
Hopefully Barcelona will have fresh veggies and fruits and not only carbs 🤷🏻‍♀️I'll keep you all posted.
Here's my 2$ apple🤪

The best way to make sure there are no excuses to prevent me from getting my workout in, is that I have everything ready to go, all the time.
No thinking , just do.
My sneakers, my outfits, my yoga mat and accessories, my program ready to press "play". I get up off the sofa and just do it💪👊.
And of course it always helps if you have a buddy that will join you 😘😘. Thank you my love for always being there to support and encourage me !

Ask a friend, family, partner to join you and give me a call! It is great when you can push each other to get the work done 🥰.

AGING GRACEFULLY.
AGING and remaining physically and mentally fit.
That's what I want to do. It is inspiring reading this article and seeing that all that effort we put into exercising daily does make a difference!
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO START.

Start today!
C'mon and join me, you won't regret it ☺️.

“I’m a huge fan of exercise, because, without question, it’s the most effective means that we have today to counter the fundamental biology of aging,” said Nathan LeBrasseur, a physiologist and physical therapist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., who studies muscle growth and metabolism.

I am starting a new challenge for myself on Monday. It isn't that I haven't been working out, or eating relatively well, but it is a way for me to get back to basics, reset myself and my nutrition, and take note of my measurable results so that I can keep improving.
I must admit, I did gain an inch on my hips over the summer, and I am not where I want to be with my nutrition, and my first instinct is to be disappointed in myself. BUT, I will not let this small bump in the road bring me down. I have done many things right over the summer for self care that I am really proud of as well.

This is a life's journey to attain our mental and physical health and fitness. Sometimes we fall a little behind, but we just get back on track.
And it helps when we are not alone.
Anybody want to join me?
It just requires a comittment to put yourself and your health first.

My goal is body positivity. I want to feel good about who I am both inside and out. It requires a holistic approach of body and mind. It takes some effort but I have not regretted it!

Reach out and I will be there for you!

One of the best perks about being fit is being able to go places and do things you otherwise wouldn't do. Not only for the physical aspect, but the psychological one. We often do not feel confident to get out of our comfort zone to try new things if we feel we can't do it.
I absolutely adore kayaking as it tests my upper body that used to be my weakest point. It felt amazing to be able to go for longer and feel less muscle fatigue.
Here's kayaking at its best, getting to blend with nature and quietly watch it's wonders.

Have you ever experienced those moments in your life where you are content to just be.
Nature has a way to quiet the mind.
We run the rat race all the time, and work hard to stay fit and eat well.
Finding these "perfect moments " when it all comes together, when you feel a sense of joy with who you are and where you are at this time, is rare.
These were 2 of my favorite quiet moments of inner peace and satisfaction of where I am in my life, health and fitness for me recently. I am exactly where I want, and need, to be.

It is because of the trials and tribulations in our lives, that we appreciate when these moments occur. I am thankful and pray I can continue to experience these moments more often.

How to get there? Well, I think the journey is a little different for each of us because we have our personal experiences that are all different, but at the root of it all, it is about taking the time to listen to our body, truly listen, and give it the nutrients it needs to work at its best, stay mobile and fit, and most importantly, align it with your mental health.
For me, it is a mindset that I put my mind and body first, so that I can then help others to do the same.

If you want to join me on the journey, reach out.

I woke up this morning and took stock of my body. My knees are sore, and my quads are tight. Probably from the hike yesterday. So, do I choose to lie back and do nothing or listen to my body? It's vacation time after all, so shouldn't I take a vacation from working out? Well, that's the thing. Our body doesn't care we are on vacation. It wants us to take care of it.
A little post hike yoga session and rolling, and hydrating and vacation continues.

It just filled me with joy today for our 11 km hike. Watching my daughter just be relentless in moving forward and at a great pace, and my husband and I who kept up (most of the time 😜). It is a testament that consistent and persistent training almost every day does work. No way we could have done this last year. Not at the pace we did it at and without "not being able to walk" the next day. Needless to say we took full advantage and just sat and enjoyed the view, had lunch while watching this view.

This is what life is all about. Being able to do what we want to do without being limited by our physical fitness.
