There's an old saying in my family, I don't know who started it, but I've heard it all my life: "Do the good you can and then forget it."
Perhaps it is generational; it came from the times of the "abuelos" when modesty was a highly regarded virtue.
But even in modern times, it is a liberating notion.
It delivers you from the anxiety of expectations.
Another saying I love pairs with this one perfectly.
"If I am to do any good, let it be here and now, for I will not transit the same road twice."
I am not perfect at applying these. I fail many times, and it feels bad every time.
So I try to be a bit kind to myself too.
Through these old expressions, the sense of community our ancestors believed in trickles into our modern times, making us aware of the uncomplicated urgency of kindness.

As the world celebrates Humanitarian Day today, this alarm may go off in our minds and hearts.
And we may each answer it differently.
My calling is to make business relationships, especially between suppliers and clients in the B2B arena, more .
**** But why more human?
Over two and a half centuries ago, Aristotle observed the following:
"humankind is constantly searching for something that IS not yet but can come to be through the cultivation of intellect and character. That "something" is often a goal, but the underlying desire behind pursuing a goal is achieving happiness.
To me, to be human is to pursue in everything we do, including work.
**** Is it possible then that at work, feelings matter? 😱
I say, yes, they do.
And it is an honourable pursuit, then, that while working for our own happiness, we try to be an enabler for the happiness of others too.
Or, at the very least, not be an obstacle. 🤓
**** How can we make business relationships at work more human?
Cultivating awareness that everyone we interact with at work has some form of pain, including ourselves.
Proc
Being empathic. We can't solve everyone's problems, but we can be supportive.
Being generous. If our knowledge and experience can help others, why not share it?
Set ourselves in solution mode. When something goes wrong, all that matters is to solve and to learn. Everything else is the jungle.
Don't snooze that alarm. ❤️

Real friends?
With a glass of Malbec and the words of Argentinean Poet and Songwriter Alberto Cortez:
I owe my friends for their tenderness
and their words of encouragement and their hugs
for splitting with them the bill
that life presents us at every step
I owe my friends for their patience
to tolerate me the sharpest thorns
the outbursts of humor, the negligence,
the vanities, the fears and the doubts.
A fragile paper ship sometimes seems like friendship, but the most violent storm can never overcome it, because that paper ship has clinging to its rudder
a heart, your heart, my heart.
🇪🇸 And now in mom and dad's language, Español.
Here is to those that have stuck around, thanks for the privilege of being in your lives. 🍷
Happy International Day of Friendship!
Feliz dia international de la Amistad!

Happy Chocolate day!
Does chocolate go well with wine?
Maybe it may sound bizarre, but chocolate and wine can be very nice friends. In fact, I think they can be also companions, partners in crime, and even soulmates…they just need their other half to make a great paring which can be mindblowing.
How can you have an amazing wine- chocolate pairing? Easy! All you have to do is trying to make a balance between style, flavor intensity and sweetness. You may also have in mind that extra ingredients in the chocolate like almonds, peanut or raisins can either increase or decrease and even neutralize the sensation left by the wine.
Here are some pairings ideas:
1. Silky, velvety, and soft wines are chocolate's best friend.
Both wine and chocolate can have intense, dry flavors. When you put together a dark, bittersweet chocolate with a powerful red wine that's high in tannins, the two can be overwhelming on the palate. In order to find the right balance, it's best to choose wines that are a little bit softer and juicier than the chocolate you're pairing it with.
2. Find the perfect sweet spot.
While it might sound counterintuitive, a wine that is "sweeter" than the chocolate itself actually works quite well. And when we say "sweet", we're not referring to dessert wines alone. In the wine world, the term "sweet" is sometimes used to denote ripe, fruit-forward flavors in a wine. These characteristics provide a nice balance to the bitter flavors of cocoa.
3. Match similar intensities.
When in doubt, pair chocolates and wines that have a similar style and weight. Less intensely-flavored chocolates go well with lighter-bodied wines, while chocolates with more intense flavors can stand up to fuller-bodied wines.
4. Taste from light to dark.
Just as you would with any other tasting, it's best to start with light chocolates and wines, increasing the intensity as you go along. Start with white chocolates and light wines and save the richest, dark chocolates and wines for last.
5. Consider any other ingredients.
If your chocolate contains other ingredients such as nuts, fruit, or caramel, consider how these flavors will play with the wine. For example, a chocolate studded with dried cranberries might pair well with a fruit-forward red with berry undertones.
Let’s celebrate this making the perfect match of wine and a piece of chocolate according to your personal likings.
Are you up to raise your glass 🍷 and also your chocolate bar 🍫?

🍇 Three favourite Mother's Day wines 🍷
A good friend of mine once told me, the best wine is the one you like. So for this mother's day I am going to recommend you the nicest ones I have tried in the last month or so:
🥂 Vouvrai. Vouvrai is a white wine made with Chenin Blanc grapes that grow along the banks of the Loire River in the Touraine district of France. And it is OH SO Delicious. It has a subtle sweetness that makes it the perfect wine to accompany some spicy food, maybe a good Spanish paella or some Thai food?
🍷 Brunello de Montalcino: There is no wine list that I compile that does not include an Italian wine. Made with the grapes that grow around the town of Montalcino in Siena, is a perfect red wine to combine with red meats and mushroom based sauces, stews or pastas with creamy sauces.
🍾 Pinotage: South Africa "Wineland Region" is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Although there is a wide diversity of great South African wines, perhaps the most distinctive one is Pinotage. This red wine pairs best with meats like venison, pork, goat, and lamb, but with beef as well, steak, kebabs, burgers and grilled pork shops. Get your BBQ out and a nice glass of Pinotage and let's celebrate the women that gave us a ride into this beautiful world.
🤔I know I will have a hard time deciding which one to choose, definitely my mom would prefer the Vouvrai, but whatever your drink of choice is or where you are in the world, I hope you will have a nice time this Sunday with your loved ones celebrating motherhood. ❤️

3 easy things you can do to be a kindness contributor wherever you are.
**** Greet with a smile. 😀
I know how this sounds. Really? a smile?
Yes, a smile can make someone feel welcome, more confident, less intimidated, seen and accepted as they are. It is funny how even with two years of Covid masks you can still see someone's smile through their eyes.
And even if your smile does not cheer others up, it will cheer YOU up by giving it. And remember, a smile is free. 💵 💰
After two years of wearing and seeing masks, I have learnt to value a smile more than ever.
**** Donate blood:
I bet you didn't expect this one 🤓
Yes, if you're healthy and are into saving lives 🦸🏻♀️🤓 then take a look at the donation schedules near you and give a chance at life to those in need.
According to statistics one single blood donation can save up to three, yes three 3 lives.
I always wanted to be a .
**** Wish a someone a nice day.
You never know what the person next to you may be going through, and they may really need to hear something positive.
YOU can be someone's light today. 💡⭐️
How do you like to spread kindness? Any random act of kindness of your own invention?

Merci Monet 🙏🏻
At the end of February we lived a unique inmersive experience.
Imagine Monet at the Arsenal art Contemporain Montréal
High white walls onto which the light of dozens of monitors was masterfully stitched to bring to life some of Monet's most iconic work.
While on the background we could hear music and sounds that transported us back to the landscapes that captivated him ages ago.
Merci Monet, after so many years you are still awaking emotions.
Love Québec!
