Philippe Veilleux, currently playing with the Foreurs de Val d'Or of the QMJHL, is leading the league's scoring chart with an impressive 52 points in 32 games. Of Lebanese origin on his mother's side, Veilleux is in his third season with the Foreurs, having recorded 87 points in 64 games last season.

Born in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, to a Lebanese mother (Sabine Rabbath), he recently represented Lebanon by wearing the national team jersey at the Challenger Series in Montreal this past July, where he tallied 3 points in 3 games.

On behalf of the Lebanese Ice Hockey Federation, we wish Philippe the greatest success and hope he continues to represent the Cedars at the highest levels of the sport.

The Lebanese Ice Hockey Federation joins the entire hockey world in celebrating a monumental milestone for one of our own. Today, we extend our deepest congratulations to Nazem Kadri on playing his 1000th game in the National Hockey League.

Reaching this elite plateau is a powerful statement about the character, skill, and unwavering dedication Nazem has displayed throughout his storied career. He has never simply been a player; he has been a force on the ice, known for his dynamic blend of elite skill, fierce competitiveness, and a heart that never quits.

From his crucial role in a Stanley Cup championship with the Colorado Avalanche to his well-deserved selection as an NHL All-Star, Nazem has consistently proven himself among the world's best. Each shift, every goal, and all his hard-fought battles have been a source of immense pride for us.

His journey resonates profoundly because he has carried the story of his Lebanese heritage with him at every step. As a pioneer, he has broken barriers and become a defining role model, showing young athletes in Lebanon and across the global diaspora that their dreams have no limits. He has not only inspired a new generation to fall in love with hockey but has also proudly placed Lebanese hockey on the international map.

Nazem, you are more than an athlete; you are a legacy in the making and a profound source of inspiration. Thank you for representing our community with such excellence, pride, and passion.

The entire Lebanese hockey family salutes you today. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to cheering you on for many more games to come.
