One of my favourite parts of hosting a podcast is having meaningful conversations with other healthcare thought leaders.
Over the past 30 episodes of The Collective Rx—my personal development podcast for clinicians—I've had the honour of learning from the inspiring journeys of health providers who are redefining what it means to create wellness, both for themselves and their communities.
As I take a moment to reflect on the future direction of the podcast in 2025, I’d love to share some of the most powerful lessons my guests have offered about what it truly means to thrive in healthcare. 💪
Below, you’ll find all my English episodes—and in the next post, I’ll be sharing the French ones.

If these conversations resonated with you, feel free to subscribe and leave a review. Your support means so much!

Because women’s health matters.
Too often, women’s concerns about their cycles, hormones, and well-being are dismissed, minimized, or met with one-size-fits-all solutions. It’s time to change that.
This is why I do what I do.
As a pharmacist and health coach, I advocate for women’s right to informed choices, compassionate care, and true well-being.
You deserve to understand your body, be heard, and have access to solutions that support your health at every stage of life.
These are your rights. These are every woman’s (and human’s) rights.
Save and share this post to help spread awareness.
What’s a right you believe women deserve in healthcare?
Happy Women’s International Rights Day! 💛

Raising awareness to perimenopausal symptoms 🫶🏻
As a pharmacist, I occasionally review cases for a company that analyzes medication compatibility based on a patient’s genetic profile (i.e., pharmacogenetics).
Today, I reviewed a case of a woman in her 40s who was experiencing only partial relief from her antidepressants.
Over the past year, she had also developed brain fog, new symptoms of anxiety, and muscle pain. Her doctor wanted to know if these symptoms were related to her medication.
In addition to reviewing potential side effects and suggesting alternative antidepressants better suited to her genetic profile, I also recommended that her doctor evaluate whether she might be in perimenopause.
This is because the hormonal fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone during perimenopause can contribute to:
▪️Changes in mood or worsening of depression/anxiety
▪️Difficulty concentrating
▪️Body aches
▪️Other discomforts that can be mistaken for unrelated conditions (and mistreated with medication - swipe left for more details).
As a result, when I receive similar consultation requests from physicians, I make it a point to bring up the conversation around perimenopause for patients over 40.
While it may not always be a contributing factor, I believe it’s essential to raise awareness of perimenopausal symptoms so that more women receive the appropriate care.
Just a small example of how I integrate my health coaching experience into my pharmacy practice. ✌🏻

As I turn 38 this year, the topics of perimenopause and aging healthfully have been on my mind.
Here’s what I’ve been researching / curious about, and what I’ll be sharing more on my page in 2025.
1️⃣ Perimenopause
As my clients are increasingly asking for support with their transition through perimenopause (and I’m heading there in a few years!), I’ve been educating myself on the topic to provide them with up-to-date recommendations as well as see what I can do NOW to ensure that my own transition goes as smoothly as possible.
I also want to empower you by helping you understand the changes your body undergoes and how to care for yourself during this phase. 💛
2️⃣ Well-Aging
Let’s be real: I’m no longer a spring chicken 🐣(LOL). While I have no wish to revert to my twenties, I’m human and sometimes feel the societal pressure to stay young. I have mixed feelings about seeing my face and body change, but I’ve decided to embrace aging by redefining what healthy aging, or Well-Aging, means to me.
I’ve been exploring natural ways to support my skin—collagen and antioxidant-rich foods, enhancing detox pathways, and incorporating Traditional Chinese Medicine practices and regular gua sha. Learning how to nourish my skin from within has been especially fun!
I’m also reading about longevity habits and prioritizing mobility + strength training because I want to be one of those nimble and agile 90-year-old ladies people post about on social media 😉. (My tight hip flexors are loving the mobility exercises.)

Balancing Hormones Starts with Your Liver & Gut Health ✨
If you struggle with menstrual-related symptoms (ex. painful periods, heavy bleeds, hormonal acne or migraines, PCOS, etc), you’ll want give your liver and gut some extra love as they are essential players in hormonal health.
These two organs don’t just support digestion and detoxification; they’re central to keeping your hormones stable (i.e. optimal levels) and your mood, energy, and well-being in sync.
Swipe left 👈🏻 to take a closer look at how they work.
💡Tip: As always, you don’t need to make all these changes at once!
Implementing small, consistent dietary changes to support your liver and gut can make a big difference over time!
