Thanks to the families that participated in the Mindful Munchkins class yesterday. We had a great time reading Steps and Stones (Gail Silver) and experimenting with mindful walking. Our game of blind samurai, which helped kids and adults focus on mindful stepping and mindful hearing, brought on many laughs!

Thank you to all the families who came out on May 6th to join the mindfulness practice. It was lovely to sing and sit and grow our sensory awareness together. Last week we focused on mindfulness of breathing. The kids got to make their own pinwheels and go home with them — a fun tool that helps us connect with our breath. If we’re frustrated, we can use slow breaths to calm ourselves. If we’re bored or sleepy, we can use short quick breaths to stimulate ourselves.
