Amrita Dance Creations is honoured to present a powerful cultural collaboration bringing together artists and traditions from Indian and Mohawk cultures, the Haida Nation, Quebec, and Peru.
✨ Created and directed by Amrita Choudhury (Indian dance artist)
✨ With Barbara Kaneratonni Diabo (Mohawk artist)
✨ Featuring Haida guest artist Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson
✨ With live music by Pedro Diaz (flute, drum, voice) & Christophe Cinq (sitar)
Together, they bring Shakti Rising to life, an evocative performance illuminating Indian and Indigenous life experiences, women’s strength and resilience, and the power of Mother Earth.
