REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN. MARK SEPTEMBER 9TH ON THE CALENDER FOLKS. SOMETHING NEW TO THE WORLD OF TOURNAMENT FISHING.
Participation and eligibility
• Participation in this tournament is welcome to all residents 18 years of age or older, anyone younger than 18 years old must be accompanied by someone of 18.
• there will be postings available and a page regarding the tournament name and all information regarding the tournament.
• upon morning registered Anglers are asked to arrive at 5 for live well checks boat and trailer checks and boat launching. launch time is 7 a.m. sharp
• cost is $80 per two-person Team Max boatfield is 35 boats
• must contain two persons for safety reasons
Insurance and liability
• It is the sole responsibility of the boat owner to have a boaters license and proper tools required to operate the pleasure craft and are responsible for the co-angler
• all contestants are required to sign a waiver absolving the tournament hosts and sponsors from any responsibility for damages and or personal injuries sustained as a result of participation in the tournament all
• Anglers are required to have a valid fishing license
Safety
• Boating safety must be followed at all times during competition, any attempt of harmful acts will result in disqualification.
• All persons who operate boat must have a valid boaters license.
• Must wear a life jacket during use of the big motor. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
• All boats must be equipped with all proper safety equipment as per personnel watercraft regulations.
• If you see a boat in distress it is your responsibility to aid the fellow vessel.
Sportsmanship
• Any use of obscene language or gestures is forbidden at any time during the event and will result in disqualification
• Use of alcohol or illegal drugs will not be tolerated and will be disqualified
• maximum courtesy must be practice at all times especially in regards to angling in the area of non competitors and local people who may be on tournament waters
Boat and waters
• There is no limit horsepower or specific boat size
• Shore fishing allowed
• Adequate live well system is mandatory. No fish chains
• All participating boats outboards must not exceed coastguards max hp rating of boat
Tackle and equipment
• All fish must be caught in a sporting manor intentional snagging a fish will not be allowed
• only artificial lures are allowed NO LIVE BAIT
• fish attractants are allowed. Proper fishing practices must be followed as per Fish and Game Regulations failure to comply will result in disqualification
Scoring
• Winners of the tournament will be paid out according to number of entry teams.
• Dead fish will not be weighed
• Each boat will be scored based on boat number
• If Any angler is caught releasing a dead fish it will be automatic disqualification.
• Largest pike, pickeral and bass will be weighed.
• ONLY ONE FISH PER CATEGORY. PER TEAM. SO CHOOSE WISELY.
• All breeds of said fish will be excepted. Ie: rock bass, large mouth bass, small mouth bass, walleye, gar pike, northern pike.
Tiebreaker
• Coinflip lowest boat number calls it.
Sponsors
• All prizes donated by sponcers will be raffled or gave as prizes. All proceeds will be donated to the OFAH to restocking our lakes.
• Please clean boat before transporting to prevent transport of bacteria.
