Dear Karetekas,

Please note that the dojo will be closed this coming Saturday, May 30th. The senior belts will be participating in the black belt grading with Shihan John. Kids classes and adult classes are canceled for this Saturday only.

Veuillez noter que le dojo sera fermé ce samedi 30 mai. Les ceintures noires participeront tous à l'examen de ceinture noire avec Shihan John. Les cours pour enfants et pour adultes sont annulés ce samedi uniquement.

COMPÉTITION KOKORO
Je tiens à remercier John Kalaidopoulos Shihan et Nancy Whatmore Sensei ainsi que leur dojo pour la compétition Kokoro bien organisée et inspirante qui s'est déroulée hier, samedi 23 mai, à
l'École Vanguard. Merci pour votre travail acharné, vos heures sans fin et votre dévouement dans l'organisation d'une compétition aussi réussie.

À tous nos compétiteurs, vous avez combattu avec cœur, talent et un esprit sportif incroyable sur le tatami ! Nous sommes très fiers de votre dévouement que vous avez déployés à l'entraînement. Vous avez tout donné ! Votre discipline et votre combativité sont une véritable source d'inspiration pour nous.

Merci à nos juges et arbitres d'avoir représenté notre dojo et d'avoir incarné l'équité, la concentration et le véritable esprit des arts martiaux! Votre expertise et votre professionnalisme garantissent le bon déroulement et la sécurité de nos tournois.

KOKORO COMPETITION
I would like to thank John Kalaidopoulos Shihan and Nancy Whatmore Sensei, as well as their dojo, for the well-organized and inspiring Kokoro competition that took place yesterday, Saturday, May 23rd, at the Vanguard School. Thank you for your hard work, countless hours, and dedication in organizing such a successful competition.

To all our competitors, you fought with heart, talent, and incredible sportsmanship on the tatami! We are very proud of your dedication to training. You gave it your all! Your discipline and fighting spirit are a true source of inspiration for us.

Thank you to our judges and referees for representing our dojo and embodying fairness, focus, and the true spirit of martial arts! Your expertise and professionalism ensure the smooth running and safety of our tournaments.

Thank you to all our volunteers. Karate simply wouldn't exist without you! Thank you for the time, energy, and effort you generously dedicate to our community.

Training with friends during a lunch break is a great way to break the day. Sensei Luc makes us sweat and makes us laugh - at the same time!

S'entraîner entre amis pendant l’heure du lunch est un excellent moyen de se changer les idées. Sensei Luc nous fait transpirer et nous fait rire… tout en même temps !

There’s nothing like Sensei Laurie and Sensei Faycal when they are teaching our kids’ classes (not that I’m biased…). They create spirit and energy and piles of fun.

Aujourd'hui, nous nous inclinons en signe de profond respect pour Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, fondateur du karaté Kyokushin.

Un homme dont l'esprit, la discipline, le courage et la vision ont transformé à jamais les arts martiaux. Par un entraînement rigoureux, une exigence sans faille et un cœur dévoué au Budo, Sosai a créé bien plus qu'un style : il a créé un mode de vie suivi par des générations à travers le monde.

Aujourd'hui, nous lui rendons grâce 🙏.

Sosai Memorial Day • April 26

Today we bow our heads in deepest respect to remember Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate.

A man whose spirit, discipline, courage, and vision changed martial arts forever. Through relentless training, uncompromising standards, and a heart devoted to Budo, Sosai created more than a style — he created a way of life followed by generations around the world.

Today we give thanks 🙏.

Une première expérience vraiment magnifique aujourd’hui pour beaucoup de nos élèves lors de la compétition SHINOGU organisée par Les Centres de karaté Lamarre au Collège d'Anjou. Merci d'avoir permis à nos élèves de se sentir comme des champions aujourd'hui.

Le dojo Ki Shin souhaite à tous de très joyeuses fêtes de Pâques. Le dojo sera fermé vendredi le 3 avril et lundi le 6 avril. Il y a des cours régulier samedi, le 4 avril.

The Ki Shin dojo would like to wish all of you a very Happy Easter weekend. The dojo will be closed on Friday, April 3rd and on Monday, April 6th. There are regular classes on Saturday, April 4th.
