What an incredible journey!

This week we watched it all come together - the hours of travel and practice, friendships, resilience and determination. The result? A thrilling, passion-fueled tournament and a GOLD medal finish! 🥌

We are so proud of these young athletes and the way they represented Jeux du Québec - Montréal and The Royal Montreal Curling Club both on and off the ice.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience possible:

Nous sommes fiers et honorés de vous dévoiler les athlètes qui ont été sélectionnés pour être porte-drapeaux de la délégation de Montréal lors de la cérémonie de clôture : Naila Ilbouche et l'équipe de curling masculin composée de Tian Campos, Edward Pichovich, Nicolas Seguin et Terran Steenbergen ! 👏 ⭐️ Athlète de boccia déterminée, Naila Ilbouche a su se frayer un chemin jusqu’à la médaille d’or aux Jeux du Québec 2026. Sur neuf matchs disputés, elle n’a subi qu’une seule défaite, lors d’un affrontement très serré qui s’est conclu en prolongation. Toujours souriante, positive et humble, Naila s’est démarquée autant par ses performances que par son attitude inspirante tout au long du tournoi. Par son parcours, elle contribue également à faire rayonner le boccia, un sport qui fait son retour aux Jeux après sept ans d’absence. ⭐️ Après 9 ans d’absence, le curling effectue un retour en force dans la délégation de Montréal cette année. Alors que l’équipe de curling masculin n’avait jamais remporté plus d’un match dans un tournoi avant les Championnats provinciaux de la semaine dernière, les athlètes Tian Campos, Edward Pichovich, Nicolas Séguin et Terran Steenbergen ont défié toutes les probabilités en remportant la médaille d'or aux Jeux du Québec 2026. Ensemble depuis seulement un an et demi, ces jeunes provenant de différents endroits se sont regroupés à Montréal pour faire renaître l’équipe et parcourent régulièrement la route pour venir s’y entraîner. Bravo Naila, Tian, Edward, Nicolas et Terran ! Nous vous félicitons pour vos performances mémorables.
