Beautiful day for diving!

One of the many incredible local invertebrates we're fortunate to encounter beneath the surface is the Sea Lemon (Peltodoris nobilis).

Despite their bright yellow colour and citrus-inspired name, Sea Lemons are actually a species of nudibranch; a fascinating type of sea slug. Like other nudibranchs, they breathe through a beautiful rosette of feathery gills located on their back, just behind the mantle.

It's always a treat to spot these underwater gems while exploring the waters around Vancouver Island.
