Nanaimo Men's Sunday Curling

As the season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the outstanding athletes who made this year’s Nanaimo Hangover League an unforgettable one. After months of fierce competition, strategic shot-making, and incredible sportsmanship, we are proud to congratulate our 2025 Men’s Hangover League Champions:

🏆 Champions: Pawliuk Team

Representing, the five man team: Leads, George Acheson & Russ Pawliuk, Second, Evan Wilson, Third, Tanner McQuarrie & Skip, Mac Pawliuk. The boys showcased remarkable teamwork, precision, and determination throughout the season. Their journey to the top was nothing short of spectacular, with key victories over some of the league’s toughest competitors. Their commitment to excellence has truly set them apart as deserving champions.


🥈 B Division Champs Team Shott

We also want to acknowledge the incredible performance of Team Shott for winning the B Division. Lead, Mike Carson, Second, Blair Shott, Third, Chris Nichol and Spare Skip, Mike Kenefick Subbing for Niel Shott who was away at the Sweepers Cup. Team Shott pushed the competition to the limit in a thrilling final match.

C Division Champs: Team Hobson
Lead, Bill Porter, Second, Jimmy Reynolds, Third, Rodney Edgeworth and skip, Ferdy Hobson.

Additionally, a special shoutout to Rob Mitchell, for taking home the Outstanding Sportsmen Award.

Season Highlights
This year’s league was filled with unforgettable moments, from last-minute steals to perfect draws that left crowds in awe.
