The trails are calling this Sunday! 🏃⛰️
With the smoke clearing out and the rain expected to taper off on Saturday, this Sunday is shaping up to be a great day to get out for a run. Join us and the NelsonRunningClub at the Hummingbird Lodge at 12:00pm for our next free Trail Running Meet-up.
This week’s route is approximately 8km with just over 500m of elevation, heading up Silver King and West Ymir, along Prospector, Blaster’s Ridge, and Glory Ridge, before making the descent back down the Summit trail.
Then, kick back on the patio and enjoy live music from the UCRA Mountain String Band at 2:00pm. 🎶
Come for the run, stay for the tunes, and we can’t wait to see you up at the hill!
With the recent spread of wildfires in the Okanagan and the State of Provincial Emergency, Whitewater wants to do its part to support those affected.
The Hummingbird Lodge & Campground has opened its available tenting and RV campsites to wildfire evacuees for the duration of their evacuation order.
We hope this can help ease some of the stress for a few of the many people who have been displaced across our province. A heartfelt thank you to the firefighters, emergency personnel, volunteers, and everyone working tirelessly to keep our communities safe during this challenging wildfire season.
If you have been displaced by wildfires in BC and are looking for a place to stay, please call us at (250) 352-6954 to reserve an available Forest or RV campsite free of charge.
Stay safe, BC. We’re thinking of everyone affected and hoping for calmer days ahead.
