Chronically Q***r (a support group through Qmunity for Q***r folk with chronic health conditions) is excited to be participating in the August 4th Vancouver Pride Parade. We are inviting individuals (Q***r, disabled, allies, combo thereof) and disability organizations (their q***r members and allies), to join us in celebrating Q***r Disabled Pride.

Powerhouse Casting is seeking People with a physical disability, particularly those who have paralysis in their legs for a National Bank TV commercial.
Open to both Men and women from anywhere in CANADA, ages 30 to 50 years old, all ethnicities are welcome.
The shoot will be held in Toronto, Canada. If selected and you reside outside of the greater Toronto area, travel and accommodation will be provided for you and a companion to attend the filming here.
Audition will be held via SKYPE, you are not required to come into the studio. However, there will be a call back session held in Toronto for those who live in this area on February 3rd if selected after your interview.
Pay is $4,000 EACH if selected. Non speaking role, no acting experience required.
Must be available for the following dates IF you are selected to participate in this commercial:
Recall: February 3 in Toronto. (For those who resides in the greater Toronto area only)
Wardrobe: February 9, 10 or 11 in Toronto.
Rehearsal: February 10, 2017 in Toronto. (TBD)

The Amputee Coalition has designated Saturday, April 23, ‘Show Your Mettle Day’. The concept is simple – to show “mettle”, the ability to cope well with difficulties or to face a demanding situation in a spirited and resilient way, by showing a “metal” device or wheelchair.
The Prosthetics and Orthotics Association of British Columbia (POABC) would like to invite all prosthetic, orthotic and wheelchair users to proudly wear and show their devices (prosthetic, orthotic and/or assistive) and ‘mettle’ this Saturday. Post a picture to the POABC page to help raise awareness.
