Going to the gym and feel like you aren’t making any progress?! I got you 😉

1. You do too many exercises in a workout, I generally do 4-6 exercises max in any given workout. Any more than that and you probably aren’t using the right intensity, getting enough volume in each movement or just waste time setting up each movement. Keep your workouts simple

2. Too much time on “fluffy” volume - I enjoy a bicep curl as much as anyone but 80% of your exercises you pick should be big compound movements like squats and pull ups. Doing an hour of 5 different bicep exercises or shoulder raises just isn’t doing anything for you. Leave that for the end 20%

3. You change your exercises too often, spend anywhere from 4-12 weeks working on improving a set of exercises then switch it up, don’t just go to the gym and pick a bunch of random exercises for the day that’s just going to make you sweaty.

Hard truth.

Age has nothing to do with it! You just stopped moving as much, lost muscle mass and got slow because you don’t train fast.

Building muscle with strength training and prioritizing movement “snacks” through the day over actual snacks is the key to staying youthful and buff 💪

So much information at our fingertips, AI at our disposal now but it’s not all good.

Too much conflicting information, and the correct answer for you might not be the correct answer for me.

Too much overthinking, researching, waiting for the perfect time to start. When really just start right now!!

This is where coaching comes in, and why coaching will always have a place. All the information is there, but a coach will help you implement it 👊🏻

Without implementing it, it’s useless

This mindset shift is one of the first things I get all my students to learn.

It’s understanding that getting a result is not a product of luck, but a product of priorities.

If you really want to get into the best shape of your life you workouts must be scheduled, how many times have you blown off the gym because something else came up?! That’s fine but then you can’t complain that the training plan doesn’t work 💁🏻‍♂️

Every week, on Sunday, look at your week, block out what’s most to least important. And then make a promise to yourself that you will stop letting yourself down and you will stick to what you have said you will do!

It will mean choosing some things over others but again start with a list of most to least important and schedule based on that list.
