They did it🥉

Our Pre-Juvenile Ice Dance team is bringing home BRONZE medals from the Sectional Championships - they also ranked 1st in the Swing Dance!

They’ve been incredibly disciplined in training Ice Dance this fall with Coach Ashlynne, Coach Barb (and more) - we’re thrilled to share the hard work has paid off and they’ve been invited to join the AB|NWT|NU Development Team!

So much to celebrate, with even more to look forward to in the days ahead. Congratulations Madisyn & Sebastian! 🎉

Save the date for our 4th competition of the season!⛸️

STAR Series #1 returns November 20–22 in Calgary for STAR 4–Gold skaters ❄️

In the Recreational STARSkate stream of figure skating, skaters can attend up to TWO STAR Series competitions each season, with the opportunity to qualify for the STARSkate AB | NT | NU Championships in March!

With smaller flights of competitors in each category, the STAR Series events are great for confidence building competition, increased medalling opportunities, flexible progressions, and the support of long-term development in figure skating 🙏🏽

We’re excited to cheer on our skaters and the greater skating community next month - we have so much fun at this event! Drop a 🙌 if your agree ⬇️

You need to add off ice development in a minimum of once to twice a week (the more the better)💡

Include sport specific plyometrics, dynamic stretching, jump and spin coaching, core and balance work!

When you combine habitual off ice training with on ice practices ➡️ the needle will move 🙌

This past weekend, 3 of our skaters attended an all-boys/men’s seminar in Edmonton, for STAR 4 through Gold and Podium Pathway skaters!

Consisting of both on-ice and off-ice training sessions led by Keegan Messing, Ravi Walia, Ben Ferreira and Chris Hammer - the experience was incredible and the environment was very supportive.

We look forward to hearing more about their lessons and takeaways this week! 🙏🏽
