Mattawa Rink - Bridlewood

Early morning flood to refresh the rinks for Family Day weekend. Should be a great day for some skating!

Thanks to our great volunteers, we’ve weathered thaws and snowstorms and we’re back to decent ice conditions!

Due to the warming weather please stay off the ice to help protect the ice surface! Thanks everyone for your support! Hopefully they can reopen on Sunday.

Hi All! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped get the rinks in great shape! Some rink updates:

- we've had skateable ice since Dec27 and currently both rinks are quite smooth
- you can get general rink status of Ottawa rinks (including Mattawa Rink) here: https://www.ottawarinks.ca/en
- We are looking for volunteers who can help with occasional snowblowing
- High School students who live close to Mattawa Rink can earn volunteer hours

Rough ice! Use caution

Ice conditions are marginal so if you’re using the rink, look out for rough spots and possible asphalt poking through. Ice building is still in progress.
