Rink Volunteer Maintenance Team

Rink is back open but wanted to ask the public to not trash the inside of the skate shack. We came to the shack tonight to all our equipment thrown on the floor the heater tampered with and off and the exhaust shroud broken. Please respect public space.

The rink is closed today. We’re planning on having it cleared today and will assess ice condition this evening. Please avoid putting the nets on the rink or shoveling with your own shovels. It is too warm to skate given we had the warm weather and then immediately 15cm. Thank you for your understanding.

Please refrain from using your own shovels from home to partially clear the Rink as if we can’t get to the rink fast enough you will leave large mounds that could potentially cause issues for us in terms of maintenance for the rest of the season depending on seasonal temperatures.

We flooded the rink last night. Looking forward to people using today for either a hockey game or skating and having a fantastic time. We wanted to thank Snow-Care Works of Orléans for helping us clear the snow during the day and clearing the paths.

Rink was flooded last night. Nice smooth surface this morning for a skate.
