Important Notice for New Customers:
Please be aware that this is a home-based business, and I dedicate my personal free time to provide these services. If you schedule a racket drop-off, bike drop-off, or any sort of appointment, I expect you to show up unless you inform me in advance that your plans have changed.

Recently, there has been an increasing number of cases where people schedule a time but fail to show up without any notice. When I follow up, responses often include "I found someone else to do it" or "I'll come tomorrow" or "I will come another time". This is getting very frustrating and disrespectful of my time.

New Policy:
Effective immediately, if you fail to show up without notifying me, you will be blacklisted from my business. While this may seem strict, I would rather turn down business than tolerate repeated disregard for my time and efforts.

Communication is key—it's that simple. If you need to reschedule or decide to go elsewhere, that’s completely fine, but please have the courtesy to let me know.

Vacation Alert:
We will be on vacation starting Aug31th to end of September, 2023. In order to prepare for the vacation, we have stopped taking new bike related work. However I will continue stringing rackets until the 31th. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Another season starts

As a small business, we try our best to service our customers. However, we do not tolerate any form of harassment! If you are unsatisfied with our service, we do our best to make it up. Harassing, being unreasonable, unwilling to communicate is going to get us to nowhere.

Background story:
2 days ago, a new customer reached out for a badminton racket stringing job. Everything was fine until last night. The customer called me and stated that the string has a chemical smell (Yonex BG65). This is a very valid question as some of you probably know, brand new yonex string do have a smell and it's absolutely normal. In fact, the smell is even one of the ways to distinguish whether the string is fake or not. After explaining patiently, things went south very quickly. The customer started accusing me soaking the string into Chemicals just to poision her family (Yes, me too, ??????), not long after, other false accusations started to come out as well, fake string, bad business, dishonesty, you name it. Even after all these accusations, I tried to be reasonable and told the customer to do a quick search online to find out. She refused to do so. I offered to meet up at the closest Sport Check to buy a brand new BG65 out of my own pocket, just to open the bag and smell the string. She refused to do so. I suggested many other ways to verify that the smell is normal. She again, refused to do so. Later on, she started threatening me on doing bad reviews, lawsuit action, report me to Yonex Canada, call the cops, theaten my family, etc...And all of this because of my "fake string with poisonous chemicals".

The phone coversation lasted couple hours and there are text exchanges even after that. We were never be able to sattle on a reasonable solution. And a lot of the stuff were straight up harassment. I had to block the phone call and text to move on.

Some statements:
1. Our Yonex string is from an authorized Yonex dealer. If you question the authenticity of any of the Yonex string that I am selling. Feel free to send it to Yonex Canada for verification.

2. We are a legitimate Canadian small business registered under Ontario sole proprietorship business license with full commercial liability insurance coverage. Thereatening based on our tax status, business legitimacy, liability is going to get to nowhere.

3. It's the end of the year and Smash n Shred Sport Services will be almost two years old. I have had so many amazing customers and thank you all for supporting!
