New Leadership alert!
Brad has been a part of the Ottawa ultimate community for many years now and is stepping into the new vacancy of captaining bHX for the 2024 season. From co-founding Ottawa’s Premiere Beach Ultimate team () to representing bHX on the international stage at Windmill in 2023, Brad has shown his passion for the sport and dedication to his teammates, making him a worthy leader of this year’s competitive team.

Rumour has it that Brad is instating a rule in 2024 where if he skies you for the disc, you must do a jersey trade with him. So lock up your nice kits because Brad is coming into this year with a license to fly (literally) and a burning desire to improve his endless jersey collection.

Mitchell Reid Position: Coach Jersey: 10 Favourite book before a tournament: The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck Do you know the last time there was a successful player coach in high-level sports? Yeah, neither do we but we appreciate Mitch's efforts all the same. Mitch kept the mood light by not taking anything too seriously and taking the brunt of "old" jokes typically reserved for those closing in on masters age. Fun Fact: Mitch only eats plants watered with ice melted from the Canada Glacier.

Windmill Recap: June 15-18
Earlier in June a crew of bHX players landed in Amsterdam to attend for the first time in the clubs history. After three days and 8 fantastic games against strong competitors from around the world, bHX finished 16th out of 20 open teams. With a 2-5-1 record, bHX had a great time showing up and grinding through every last minute of each game. For many players this was their first time playing internationally and we hope that this will not be our last attendance at Windmill.
