Hi all,
What a time we are experiencing… After much internal deliberation, Hintonburg Cycle Works will be closing its’ service until further notice. This is not an easy decision for any small business owner, but it is the right thing to do given the speed at which this virus is spreading.
I am not confident that our bicycles, components and their accessories can be fully sanitize to a standard which I feel good with, hence the decision.
I care for all of you and your loved ones as well as my own.
The past year has been a doozy for HCW, and I feel beyond grateful for all the customers who have supported the business and put their trust in my skills and service.
It is an amazing feeling to be supported and respected within our cities cycling community and I have faith that each HCW will be able to ride this one out and continue to service your cycles into 2020/21.
To all of you who are looking forward to getting back on the bike after a long winter, have faith in your Steeds. Air up those tires and head out for some fresh air. If you were experiencing a mechanical problem, please don’t hesitate to email, call or FaceTime I will do my best to offer as much advice as possible and hopefully keep your wheels turning.
To all my customers Who currently have a bicycle in the shop and custom builds/service booked, I will be dedicated to get this work completed as soon as possible and will be in touch over the next number of days.
For all those with future service appointments, I will ask that you place these bookings on hold until April 15. This will allow some time for public health to catch up. I will be respecting their recommendations moving forward and will reassess at that time.
Stay safe, spend time with your loved ones, enjoy the outdoors… Just not too close to others and ride your bike.
All the best until then…
Brad

Sitting on Xmas eve day. Drinking a stout. Admiring our simple tree. We are in a borrowed house with stuff that isn’t ours. It’s been a rough one since July, but I feel lucky today to have all my people and a new sweet pup. Looking forward to some downtime with the fam and some Xmas cheer. Shop is on limited hours while I gorge and enjoy the outdoors. Will be back in business in the new year. See ya 2019 - onward and upward.

Dr. Daisy Snuggles...
Since I haven’t been at the bench, I’ve taken up a new hobby. She has big shop dog paws to fill, but I think she’ll do fine...

This ‘ol travel mug made it 26 years...but was no match for fire. Many years and memories of bush work, cycle trips, music fests, being lost and stolen and recovered, held every liquid from water to wine. I won’t lie...I shed a tear for this one.
