There is no single ârightâ way to look after your mental health.
When your mental health practices align with your personal values, your culture, and your history, they naturally become much more effective for your nervous system.
For many of usâregulation and presence donât always happen in quiet isolation. We also find regulation in rhythm, collective spaces, and working with our hands.
Healing is about finding the unique tools that genuinely resonate with who you are and where you come from.
đŹ Letâs build an ongoing list of these practices together.
What is a cultural or non-mainstream practice that truly aligns with you and brings you back to yourself?
Iâll start firstâcheck the first comment! đ

If I know itâs good for me...why am I not doing it?
If youâve been beating yourself up for being âlazyâ or âinconsistentâ with your self-care, this one is for you.
Mainstream wellness culture loves to tell us what to do, but it usually ignores the context -who is doing it, their history, and their current environment.
đŹ Once youâve swiped through, share it with a friend and talk about your thoughts ((having these conversations helps us process and integrate what we learn).

Happy Motherâs Day!
Today we are honouring the mothers we donât always see.
The immigrant mother raising her children to build their sense of self while trying to figure out her own.
The BIPOC mother navigating systems not built for her.
The mother whoâs breaking cycles with her children while carrying her own trauma.
The mother who provides a sense of safety for her children while in constant survival mode herself.
Tag or send this to a mom whose unseen work goes unnoticed. Let this be a sign of your appreciation!

If youâve been with us for a while, you know that the office has been home to Rubiks for nearly three years. When we first arrived, we we were only a couple years into private practice and the business world, and finally transitions out of virtual work post-COVID. We came from a community background, filled with excitement, hope, and the belief that meaningful work would happen in this new spaceâ and it did.
Saying goodbye to this space has been emotional and nostalgic. These walls have held stories, healing, growth, and so many moments with all the ranges of emotion. To everyone who has walked through these doors and become part of the Rubiks community â thank you. Youâve left traces of yourselves here, and we carry that forward.
Over the past three years, weâve learned that spaces truly matter â but weâve also learned that building something meaningful is hard, rewarding, and absolutely possible. Having a physical space showed us what weâre capable of.
While this chapter is closing, another one is beginning. Rubiks is still growing â in a way that feels natural, grounded, and very exciting. Weâve had many questions about us leaving the office, and we want to reassure you: weâre still here, and more committed than ever to providing the care weâre known for⌠and so much more.
Hereâs to endings, beginnings, and everything they make possible.

Pic 2- the day we gave in all the keys. The official ending of the office chapter.

patterns can quietly repeat themselves underneath.
Like feeling pulled toward someone unavailableâŚ
Or finding calm strangely uncomfortableâŚ
Or working harder than you should to feel loved.
This guide helps you name those patterns â
