If you’re riding wide tires (think 40mm and up) on your gravel bike, and you’re thinking about a move to our G45 with a 30mm internal rim width, you’re in for a treat. They can really transform your ride. The extra width definitely improves aerodynamics with wide gravel tires (yes, that’s a thing), and it also lets you confidently run lower tire pressures for improved traction with less chance of flats and better handling. Win win win.

For 2026 we’re now shipping our second generation G45. They may look identical to the previous version at first glace, but there are some big changes under the hood. The new wheels are 100g lighter and 25% stronger (the 130J impact rating puts them in line with our MTB rims). These new rims have an asymmetric shape to help us better balance spoke tensions and bracing angles and build stronger, more durable wheels. We’re also now using our new star ratchet hubs, with freehub body options to fit nearly any drivetrain. For the first time we’ve now also got hubs in silver and purple as well!

We’ve made some big updates to our wheel lineup for 2026. We’re particularly excited about our new A-series wheels for road (and gravel). These new rims are 25mm internal and we’ve adopted the new name to better reflect their use. Aero road or All-road. Your choice.

A few years ago rims of this width would have been solely for gravel, and these rims are still more than capable of handling any type of terrain, but the wide tires and aerodynamics of modern bikes also make rims like this a perfect choice for your road bike.

We’re offering two depths with the A45 and A52 models, so you can choose the ones that best fit your bike and your riding style. These new wheels take the place of some of our previous D- and G-series models and offer significant weight savings (160-200g per pair), without sacrificing strength or durability.

All A45 and A52 wheels are built on our new star ratchet hubs, and we’ve now got silver and purple options to truly make them yours. We’ve got every option in stock and ready to build/ship right away. You can also drop us a line if you’ve got any type of custom project in mind - there isn’t much we can’t do!

Our Woven hubs have always offered great bang for your buck - they’re relatively light, durable, use good quality bearings, and are easy to service. We’ve updated and refined them many times over the last 15 years, but we’re making a pretty big change for 2026 - we’re switching from pawl-based engagement to a star ratchet system. This has been a goal for a while now, so we’re excited to finally release them. This update makes our hubs even stronger and more durable than before. They’re also a touch lighter.

We’re using large ratchet rings to spread drive forces over a big surface area, reducing wear. The rings also have small channels at the base of the teeth to provide an escape path for any debris that may sneak past the hub seals. These large rings also allowed us to enlarge the hub bearings - we’re using big 6902 bearings throughout the hubs to keep them rolling smoothly for a long time to come.

Our ratchet hubs are shipping today on all of our new wheel models: road, gravel, MTB, fat, and rim brake. We’re now also carrying a silver version for road and gravel, and we’ve also done a limited run of purple while supplies last. Last call for fat bike wheels in time for this winter.
Folks, we're placing one more order of our fat bike rims very shortly. We've been told they will take 4 to 5 weeks to make. That puts them in our hands mid to end of January. There is still plenty of winter after that. And of course, the winters to come.
