Fosterbrook Park

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the nice weather. Just wanted to let you all know that I will be moving out of Barrhaven this summer and unfortunately will be unable to flood the rink next Winter. If anyone has any interest in taking care of the rink or knows someone that may be interested please let me know. I have all of the hoses as well as the snowblower and shovels and would be more than happy to give some pointers to make it go as smoothly as possible. Thank you for the opportunity! 😀

Good day! Rink is cleared (for now) and good to go! Some areas are a bit bumpy, hopefully this will be resolved after tomorrow nights flood! Just a reminder the maximum capacity on the rink currently is 12 people. Have a great day!

Hi everyone, my name is Jake and I have taken over flooding the Fosterbrook rink this winter! As of this afternoon we have started the base for the rink. As the temperatures lower through this week I will be out flooding to build up our base ice. If everyone wouldn’t mind staying off the rink until this is complete I would greatly appreciate it. Looking forward to a great season and hope everyone is having a Happy New Year!

I hope that everybody has been staying safe and healthy through these times. After the last two years of looking after the rink I will be moving in the fall and I won't be able to look after it anymore. If anybody is interested it taking it up please message me. I enjoyed my time looking after the rink and I hope everybody enjoyed the ice.

Rink is opened. The ice is rough in spots but skateable. Hopefully another couple floods and it will be in top shape.

With the weather turning warm and rainy please stay off the rink. It already has pooled water on it. Sunday looks cold again so fingers crossed for skating early next week.

Rink is now opened. We flooded last night and half of it is in good condition. Hopefully the weather will better than forecast.

Just a reminder to please keep off the ice. Someone was on it the other day and made large gashes in what little is there. Looks like there is going to be some cold this weekend at night so I will be out flooding to repair the damage and make more good ice. Hope everybody has a great weekend and has had a good Christmas.

Started the base for the rink this afternoon. Hope we will have good weather for ice building this week.

Flooded the rink last night and it is in fair shape this morning. There is some warm weather coming so this might be the last good day of the year. If so I hope everybody had some good times on the rink this winter I know my family did.
