Pictures from our March Range Day at EOSC (Eastern Ontario Shooting Club)! 😎🎯

At this student range day, we had over forty participants and staff, and over two dozen fi****ms for participants to try. Student range days are designed for members of the post-secondary community interested in sport shooting and fi****ms. Under supervision, participants have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of fi****ms handling and marksmanship in a safe, educational, and fun environment. The CFA provides all supervision, safety equipment, fi****ms, ammunition, and transport to the event. Participants just need to pay an event fee, and for the ammunition they use.

At this event, we had a variety of restricted and non-restricted fi****ms in various calibres, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles. 😮💥💥

Special thanks to EOSC for allowing us to host this student event and to the community volunteers who came out to help. We couldn't have done it without your support. 😎👍

Thank you to everyone who attended our March Range Day at EOSC (Eastern Ontario Shooting Club)! 😎🎯 We hope everyone had a great time learning about safe fi****ms handling and the shooting sports, and generally had a blast at the range.

At this range day, we hosted over forty students and staff with over two dozen fi****ms of various calibers and types.

Participants will receive an after-event survey via email shortly. Please let the CFA know what went well and what we can improve on. Your comments and suggestions will help the club host even better events in the future. 🤔📋

Tomorrow is our March Range Day at EOSC (Eastern Ontario Shooting Club)! 😁📆Registered participants would have recieved an email already with instructions for bus pick up and drop off. The bus will depart at the appointed time. 🕑🚍

Remember to bring a photo ID with your name and date of birth.

Plesse dress accordingly to tomorrow's weather. EOSC is an outdoor range and it will be cold and cloudy. There will be rudimentary and running water washrooms on site. 🥾🧣🧤🧥

Feel free to bring snacks and water. Attendees are welcome to take pictures at the event.

We have allocated some fi****ms and shooting positions to the 50m firing line for some more distant target opportunities.

Please bring coins and bills no larger than $50.00 for your your ammo tickets. There will be no EMT or ATM option at the range. 💰🪙💵

Only registered participants are allowed to attend. All attendees must take the bus to the range. No exceptions.

ThrowbackThursday a student shooting the Austrian 🇦🇹 made G***k 17 Gen 5 handgun at our 2024 October Range Day at EOSC (Eastern Ontario Shooting Club)! 😎🎯

The G***k 17 is a handgun chambered in 9x19mm and a Canadian magazine capacity of ten rounds.

The Carleton University Fi****ms Association (CFA) will be hosting its March General Range Day at the Eastern Ontario Shooting Club (EOSC).

This range day is catered to Carleton University and other post-secondary institutions students, alumni, staff and their significant others who don't have a fi****ms license. The CFA will provide all the fi****ms, ammunition, and supervision to safely discharge fi****ms.

Date: Saturday, March 28th, 2026
Times: 9:00-14:30 (42 spots)
Location: Eastern Ontario Shooting Club, 4570 Drouin Rd, Clarence-Rockland, ON K0A 4K7

Event fee: $25 - Collected by E-transfer (EMT). The event fee will cover insurance, targets, safety equipment, range rental, etc... There will be no rental fee on the fi****ms. Students just need to pay for the ammunition they shoot.

Please send the event fee via EMT to cufi****[email protected] after you are contacted and your spot is confirmed. Don't forget to include your name!

There will be no refunds unless the event is cancelled.

Transportation: Bus transportation will be provided by the CFA. Participants must take the bus and cannot drive to the range, as the facility is a private members-only club. Participants who show up in their own vehicle will be turned away by range staff.

A list of available fi****ms will be provided closer to the date of the event. You cannot bring your own firearm or ammunition to the event.

ThrowbackThursday - a student with the classic SVT-40 at our 2023 September Range Day at EOSC (Eastern Ontario Shooting Club)! 😎☀️💥💥🎯

The SVT-40 is a semi-automatic battle rifle developed in the Soviet Union. It was widely used during and after World War II. Chambered in the hefty 7.62×54mmR, it uses a gas-operated short-stroke piston operation with a detachable box magazine. In Canada, it was limited to five rounds instead of the factory's ten-round capacity.
