Thinking about joining for the 2024-2025 Season? Wait no longer! Here are some quick FAQs about this exciting new synchro opportunity in Ottawa.

⛸ WHAT: The Capital Ice Synchronized Skating organization is holding their first call of interest for skaters who have passed CanSkate Badge 3+ (Learn to Synchro Exhibition level) or passed Star 1+ (Star 4/6 level) to join for this upcoming season.

😎 WHO: The youth teams will be coached by Jordan Golomb and Jill Hernandez. Both have competed at the senior level and currently skate on the Capital Ice Open team.

⏰ WHEN: 1.5 hours on Sundays from September-March

📍 WHERE: Central/East Ottawa

❓ WHY: Synchronized skating can broaden a skater's skill set, improving overall proficiency on the ice. In our training, we will put emphasis on foundational skating skills including body alignment, extensions, presentation and overall improving quality of skating. Our team will offer a dynamic blend of teamwork, communication, and creativity on the ice. Through synchronized skating, skaters will also develop valuable life skills like communication, collaboration, and performance artistry and provides a fulfilling and rewarding experience for young athletes seeking both challenge and a team environment to supplement their individual skating.
