Meadows Golf Junior Program

Dear Parents,

PRICING CHANGES FOR 2014

$500 for regular junior members 13 years old and up , including Drivers Club Card (MDC Card) and includes a FREE C.P.G.A Golf Lesson, and membership with the Golf Association of Ontario (score entry and handicap calculation) and free entry into the Meadows Golf Championship.
$300 for consecutive children within same family and household – no MDC card included. All else included.
$400 for 12 and under membership – all included.
$2 junior member bucket of balls
Pricing for non-member juniors is $25 for 18, or $20 for twilight or 9 holes.
50% off lessons for juniors ($20 per lesson)

Obviously some great new incentives and accommodating pricing for this year, please spread the word and we will continue to build this into an amazing junior golf program!!

The Club has really dug deep to increase participation in the program, let us please keep the $2 bucket deal to the juniors. And please use common sense when booking inexperienced players during busy times (Saturday mornings) and help this program grow and thrive.

ORIENTATION MAY 25th, 2pm

Meadows Golf Course will host a Junior Member Orientation on May 25th at 2pm. It is really important for everyone to attend! Topics will include:

Rules and Etiquette
Handicapping
Games and Formats – best ball, scramble, stableford
Net Scoring
Gross Scores
Slope Ratings

A lot of great information for our kids to learn, and an amazing opportunity to take their enjoyment of the game to the next level.

This same day the Meadows is hosting Cobra demo day from 10-2pm, so you can come out and try out some new clubs!!

CLINICS

Clinics will be held biweekly starting June 1st at noon. (June 1, 15, 29, July 13, 27, 10). Pricing will be $50 for all 6 in advance or $10 per session. Please register in advance the week of the clinic. Topics will include full swing basic analysis, chipping, pitching, driver and long irons, putting, and bunker play.

JUNIOR LEAGUE

Every Monday starting July 7th The Meadows will host Junior League play. A great opportunity for kids to meet new friends, practice material learned in clinics, practice new scoring methods, and experience new games and ways to play golf. Different formats weekly!!

INTERSECTIONAL TEAM

The Meadows Mavericks will follow up their inaugural season with a more organized and prepared team in year 2!! For this fun tournament, the kids need to play and record scores for minimum 5 rounds before the intersectional tournament begins to be considered for the team of 12. Last year the team played at 4 beautiful local courses and don't forget, the parents get to play these courses for free on tourney days.

The scoring format is being closely evaluated this year to make it easier on the kids to score the intersectional matches, and to make the experience much less intimidating. Handicapping through the online system will also help to make for a much more level playing field for the kids.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR UNIFORM SPONSORSHIP FOR THE TEAM THIS YEAR.

We are hoping to find a sponsor for the intersectional team golf shirts this year. 12 shirts only, so should not be more than 200-300 dollars maximum.
