đŸ”„đŸ HOT LAP SESSION – Motion Control đŸđŸ”„

Small track. Big commitment.

Today we took the Aprilia RS250 SP2 out for a hot lap on a go-kart circuit, and this machine is honestly an incredible piece of engineering. Built purely for performance, the RS250 SP2 is the definition of a purpose-built track weapon — lightweight, razor sharp, and unbelievably precise in the corners.

With its race-spec chassis, premium suspension, and serious braking package, the RS250 SP2 feels like a mini GP bike. On a tight kart track where every meter counts, it’s all about momentum, corner speed, and control
and this bike delivers exactly that.

No wasted power. No wasted movement. Just pure track DNA.

đŸïž Aprilia RS250 SP2 – The Machine

The Aprilia RS250 SP2 is a race-oriented 250 cc sport bike built with serious performance in mind — especially designed for track environments and one-make racing series.

🧠 Engineering & Purpose

* It’s developed from Aprilia’s racing division Aprilia Racing and was used in sport production championships (like the Italian Sport Production series).
* The SP2 is the higher-spec version of the RS250 SP lineup, optimized for competitive riding with reduced weight and premium components.

🚀 Engine & Performance

* Power comes from a 250 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, 4-stroke racing engine — tuned for track performance.
* The SP2 variant makes around 35–36 hp, which may not sound huge, but when paired with its lightweight chassis it’s extremely quick and rev-happy on tight circuits.
* Designed around simplicity and reliability, it still keeps carburation rather than fuel injection — which helps keep tuning and maintenance straightforward on track.

đŸ› ïž High-Spec Components

What sets the SP2 apart from typical small bikes:

* Marchesini forged aluminium wheels for strength and low unsprung weight.
* Öhlins race-grade suspension adjustable front and rear — helps keep the bike planted through corners.
* High-spec Brembo brakes (including M50 calipers) for strong, predictable stopping power.
* SC-Project exhaust for optimized flow and a race-ready sound.
* Pirelli slick tyres straight from competition spec.

⚖ Weight & Handling

* The SP2 version is feather-light — tipping the scales at roughly 105 kg (≈230 lbs) dry.
* That light weight combined with tight geometry makes it exceptionally nimble, perfect for carving through a technical kart track where quick direction changes matter.

When I first got there, Jager’s engine had just seized. No hesitation, I had a spare bike, so I lent him one of the Aprilia RS250 SP2.

From there, the weekend turned into something special. We were right in sync out on track pushing hard, riding together, and feeding off each other’s pace. We had an amazing time, building a great complicity both on and off the bike. Moments like these are what it’s all about helping each other out and making the most of every lap.

Lombardy Raceway delivered, and so did the vibes. Already looking forward to the next one.

Whoever said you cant ride a sportbike on a go kart track clearly never tried it.

When grip disappears, technique takes over.

Snowmobiling forces precision body positioning, throttle modulation, line choice through changing terrain.

Every slide is information.
Every correction builds instinct.

The off-season isn’t downtime.
It’s controlled adaptation.

Different machine.
Same obsession with control.

Motion Control Racing is refining technique year-round.

Different machine. Same mindset.

Taking the BMW M2 to the racetrack brought a whole new layer of learning.
On a motorcycle, balance is everything.
In the car, weight transfer tells the story.

Driving the BMW M2 on track gave me a different kind of feedback managing weight shift, braking zones, throttle balance through corners.

Four tires. More grip.
But the same precision, the same discipline, the same focus on smooth inputs.

Motion Control Racing isn’t about the vehicle
it’s about mastering motion in any form.

The off-season is where control is built.

Snow. Ice. Unpredictable grip.
That’s where precision matters most.

We drift the trails for fun
but we’re really training reaction, balance, and control under pressure.

Because when race season comes, the edge is already there.

Advanced riding isn’t about going fast. It's about being fluid
and knowing exactly how far you can go.

Trail braking.
Body positioning.
Throttle control on the limit of grip.

Years of training built this level of precision.

Right on the edge,
exactly where I belong.

👀 You can see it
 they feel the pressure.

Watch closely the riders ahead keep checking over their shoulder.
Why? Because they can sense Motion Control Racing right there
 setting up the move.

Patient. Calculated. Ready to strike.

When feel us coming, it’s already too late. đŸđŸ”„

We don’t chase we hunt. Watch out for us on track

2026 is our season we have been preparing this for a few years!

At speed, everything happens in a split second. 🏁
On the racetrack, accidents don’t give warnings, preparation does.

At Motion Control Racing, a serious incident was narrowly avoided because of awareness, fast reaction, and respect for everyone on track. Analyzing situations in real time, staying mentally prepared, and thinking beyond yourself can be the difference between a close call and a catastrophe.

Racing isn’t just about pushing limits, it’s about responsibility, readiness, and looking out for one another.

Stay sharp. Stay prepared. Think of others.

Sliding into the weekend like
 😈💹
Motion Control Racing knows there’s only one way to clock out: sideways.

Grip? Optional.
Control? Mandatory.
Vibes? Immaculate.

Who’s sending it this weekend? đŸđŸ”„

5 years. Real progress. Same passion. 🏁

Body position doesn’t change overnight it’s built lap by lap, rep by rep, season by season.

From stiff and unsure ➝ to relaxed, balanced, and intentional.

From just riding ➝ to controlling the bike.

At Motion Control Racing, we don’t chase shortcuts. We focus on fundamentals, feedback, and putting in the work year after year. This is what progression looks like when technique meets consistency.

Stay patient. Stay coachable. Trust the process.

5 ans. De vrais progrĂšs. La mĂȘme passion. 🏁

Reste patient. Reste Ă  l’écoute. Fais confiance au processus.
