Coming into the last race of the season is always bitter sweet, this weekend definitely has a tiny amount of bitter but LOTS of sweet when we rolled out on Friday to practice with the fastest blue camaro we’ve ever had but every time we went out all of our belts kept falling off and it became a gremlin until after qualifying, with the help of Glenn Whitt, John Smith and all of SOB Racing crew,Joe Cornett-Ching for getting us all parts needed, and Kale Woodske Motorsports - KWM (who also drove 4 hours and instantly got under the hood of my car without a breath) there is no chance we could have done it without you, so thank you to EVERYONE! who helped with that.

We qualified second at a 14.3 and i knew we had to keep the momentum up. I asked my spotter Bart Hector Jr to let me know when we had 30 laps left so that i could make it go time, only to learn that we drove from 7th to 1st in 5 laps. We continued to lead the race for 47 laps, also getting the fastest lap of the main event, until the cautions started coming out. We fell back to 4th on a restart and were pressuring for 3rd when the race came to an end early under caution. After race tech we ended up coming home with some hardware and ended up 3rd. I could not be happier. The car was fast, and unbelievably fun to drive!

First off i need to thank my amazing grandpa for setting up the wildest race car for me to come into this weekend, the car handled like a dream and was rolling through the corners beautifully, my grandma, Barb Dunseith and my mom, Mandy Dunseith who are basically my on track therapists who keep me sane throughout every race. Jeremy Smith, Glenn, and John, for being great teammates every day! And thank you to Jeff and Janet Dunseith for making a pit stop from Ontario to come and watch me wheel this car! And to Bart, thank you for making me the most confident I have ever felt in a race car and being the best spotter and listening to me talk your ear off under cautions ā¤ļø. Thank you to Penticton Speedway for putting on a great show with lots of cars and a smooth schedule from start to finish.

Thank you to THE BEST sponsors ever, and the best crew that couldn’t be here for this one! This season has been one of my favorites yet.

I have given myself time to reflect on this past weekend, and i can confidently say it was hands down one of the best weekends of my life. The opportunity that Hector Racing gave me to drive this Modified was something that i will honor forever. I cannot thank the Hector family enough for letting me get behind the wheel of this badass race car.

Bart Hector Jr is hands down one of the best people to have beside me at the race track, because he is not only the best teacher, but also great at keeping me level headed, i couldn’t be happier to have him in my life.
He takes identically after his father, Bart Hector Sr who coached me on the radio all day and gave me pointers throughout the race while also being an awesome spotter, and also set up a perfect racecar.
Lisa-Bart Hector also does an amazing job going live for all of the races to keep the fans involved, and she was also right there to support every time i got out of the car.
To say it again and 100 times over, this was the most incredible experience for myself, and my entire family, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you to my amazing family Mandy Dunseith (who also took these awesome photos!), Barb Dunseith, and Andy Dunseith for leading me in this direction of life, and supporting me through every opportunity that is brought to me. I am so thankful that you guys made the 5 hour trip to support me and be right by my side.

We ended up finishing 9th in the main event, and learnt a ton!

We still have one race left this season in the streetstock at Penticton Speedway, on September 28th!
