A little taste of what’s waiting for the Ogopogo athletes…

This morning some brave souls tested the swim course during our Ogopogo Extreme practice swim.

It was a pretty good reminder that this isn’t going to be an ordinary triathlon. Calm water, big views, and a whole lot of Skaha Lake between the start and the finish.

The lake is beautiful.
The course is tough.
And yes… it’s going to be one hell of a day.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to swim or volunteer. It was great to see the course come to life.

Required Equipment: Swim Buddy & Light

If you are interested in doing a practice swim ahead of the Ogopogo next year please come down and join us at Skaha beach on September 4th. No need to sign up, everyone welcome.

It will not be the full course but more a chance to experience the conditions.

If you don't fancy a swim but want to help any extra hands on shore or on extra paddleboards would be appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you then.

Race Date Confirmed and Prize Draw Announced

We are excited to officially announce the date of the inaugural Ogopogo Extreme Triathlon - Sunday 5th September 2027.
(Registration will open - 1st September 2026.)

Want an idea of what you are getting yourself into...

We have our course maps on satellite imagery to give you an understanding of the terrain you will be taking on.

There shouldn't be snow on top of the mountains but as those of you who raced in Penticton in August 2024 know, we can't rule it out!
